Nothing for me in good buy category this year.

Leresche 77 was worst thing that happened to me. My Face looked and felt terrible for 3 days after the shave

Last great thing was 2015 Xmas group buy from Shavemac

I try now for 3 years buy razor which is perfect for me but I can't get it. I shall not name it for reason is too painful....(not wolfman btw)

So what is yours?

Razors
Best: BBS-1.

"The DE razor that killed my DE RAD."
Worst: Asylum Rx.
"I was disappointed in the finish and the performance is just on par with most similar SE razors. Not worth the premium price tag"

Brushes
Best: EJ Georgian brush.
"I bought from @N_Architect - I really love this brush even though it's a bit floppy"
Worst: Later e-Shave model.
Quite a shedder.

Software
Best: Wickham 1912 soap.

Really enjoying this - stellar performance and am loving the scents
Worst: B&M Le Petit Chypre
Performance is ok but truly disliked the scent in both the A/S and shaving soap

Well I haven't bought that much this year...however that doesn't mean I haven't acquired more than expected haha:p:confused:

Best: 1.Zenith boar brushes..simply outstanding right out of the box and really well priced.
2.Stirling soaps..full of tallow and produce very good lather, slick and protective.
3. Wunderbar slant ...aggressive but gives me a frighteningly close shave just make sure you move your lips, nose and ears out of the way.

Worst:

Ladas Blades...now wait a minute...these blades are actually very good as are most of the Russian blades..but I got a batch with QC issues that literally had no shaving edge on them...but still without a shaving edge they are better than Derbys!

Best Razor: Ikon El Jefe
Best Brush: Hans Baier Silvertip
Best Soap: Cella (I have some P&B Baskerville under the Christmas tree so it remains to be seen which is better)

The worst thing I bought was Taylor of Old Bond pre shave oil, it does work OK but it so damn hard to clean up after I can't be bothered using it sometimes.

Razors

Best - My Merkur 37c and most recently, a Gillette Starburst, which is a SuperSpeed head.
Worst - I got gifted a razor that I've just tried so hard to love but can't.

Soaps & Creams

Best - TOBS Sandalwood, Haslinger and BS Maca Root.
Worst - Spieck Active (I love the scent, but it lacks glide and protection), Figaro and Vitos - not really their fault, but they turned my skin red and hot.

Blades

Best - Yellow 7OC, Rubies, GSB
Worst - Sharks, Derby

Best - Gillette Knack Twist.
Worst - Early experiments with cheap soaps - Wilkinsons Sword soap. The bowl is now home to my greated MWF
I would give a special mention to my Knack Twist. A very easy razor to use for pretty darn good results. And although widely disparaged for its plastic handle, I think it leads the way in terms of retro design asthetics.

Worst: Zenith Boar brush, mop in disguise, binned & Razorock Tuscan Oud Soap, offensive odor, binned
Best: a handful straight razors, met expectation and then some & Haslinger Soap, best lather

Best
Razor: Rockwell 6S - Superb in every way.

Soap: Wickhams 1912 - Love all the scents I have tried, top notch soap. Haslinger has also been a hit as well as some P&B soaps.

Brush: Semogue Owners Club Boar - Tied between this one and the Omega 10098

A/S:
La Toja, Al Rehab Silver - Love it, cheap and is a a great scent

Blade:
Voskhod & Polsilver - Pretty much any Russian blade I have tried this year has been a keeper.

Worst
Razor: Fatip Grande - For me very uncomfortable to use, with the R41 it's aggressive but comfortable at least. The Fatip was like using a cheese grater.

Soap:
Lightfoots Pure Pine Aromatic Shave Soap - Nice scent but that's all there is going for it, only a fiver but terrible. Honourable mentions for P&B Baskerville, hated the scent on first sniff which was a massive disappointment for me.

Blade:
Treet Carbons - terrible even in my Rockwell which makes almost any blade comfortable.

Been very impressed by our (UK) online vendors, superb service all round. A pleasure to do business with and support our own niche businesses. Great stock and ever growing access to artisan and established brands.
