do you use a moisturiser

I have started to notice my skin being dry after a shave. I may be due to winter weather. I don't think it is any worse then when I used a cartridge razor but I am starting to pay more attention to my skin condition since using a DE razor.

When working outside I do use a lip balm for drying lips. If my lips are drying out it make's sence the test of my face is also. Just your lip skin in thinner and more sensitive so you notice that first.

Can anyone recommend a good moisturiser

The mrs often buys me stuff but I mostly forget to use it, much to her annoyance.
But I'd suggest Bulldog or No7 mens range is very good and Boots always have some sort of offer. I think they'd give you a sample if you asked the No7 ladies.

I find the same, especially during winter.
Do you use an Aftershave Balm (ASB)?

I often wonder when people refer to a moisturiser if they mean a balm, but correct me if I'm wrong but surely a ASB works in much the same way.

I myself always use a balm, even this morning when I didn't bother having a shave, there's no where I need to be or go today.

I use lanolin and coconut oil 50/50 mix, work's a treat.

I always apply a moisturiser over my ASB of choice. Typically around 5 minutes after, to ensure the balm has fully absorbed into my skin.

I tend to go for a heavier moisturiser in colder months & switch to a lighter moisturiser when the weather warms up. I do have a few moisturisers that I always reach for, but like others have mentioned, the Bulldog one is a good solid product.

Unrefined Shea butter or coconut oil. Cannot get better than that. Little boy goes long way

Edit

Before you leave home apply Thayers on face. You will not regret!

I'm using two commercial moisturisers - Olay Day Cream with SPF in the daytime and Eucerin 5% Urea at night - but will probably revert to unrefined shea butter, argan oil (day) and rosehip oil (overnight) when these are finished up.

Yes, NS, I was meaning to find out if the OP was using a moisturiser instead of an ASB. Personally I would recommend an ASB instead of a moisturiser because it's designed specifically for that purpose; although I don't think there's actually much of a difference.
I would use a moisturiser on parts of my face that aren't shaved - but it's rare that I use one.

I agree. I always use a balm after shaving, however I use moisturiser on days that I haven't shaved.
