That's the way to go fella, it's a good razor I doubt you'll have any issues with it. Try various blades as well...all part of the fun

Nope...im a Astra SP fan and wont change. Ive tried almost all blades in the past but i will stick to Astra's for sure.

every razor reacts differently to different blades... same happens to the blades when tried in different razors. a half degree change in the cap shape and the whole affect changes for each blade you put in it.

I'd definitely recommend one for sure ! Everyone has sounded out what I would say anyway , so go for it and your only decision will be short or long handle ?! Mines the long handle just as I prefer my razors that way .

Astra SP is my choice with every razor. I do try other blades every now and then but usually always go back to Astra's

I just find that i always get a good shave from Astra's. I have tried so many different blades now and havent been happy.

well new razors should always be given a try with multiple blades. some razors love any blade that crosses their path. Others are far more choosy then they should be.

Merkur progress is by far my best razor i have ever owned or used. Awesome shave today!! Not even my problem areas gave me trouble. Almost BBS.....
The only problem with this razor is the colour of the knob. Other than that....truly a amazing razor.
Best purchase of 2017 so far [emoji847][emoji847] very happy

Digress is far better looking, replacing that knob. But it's a fair jump in price.
Although now you know you love the razor, it might be worth the extra fifty odd quid to have a new knob fitted.
