S.O.T.D Saturday 24th June to Friday 30th June 2017

A+, already nBBS at two passes but hate to waste the lather kind of shave. Shovelhead/Blue Star is capable of the best shave I get from any razor, but depends entirely on blade QC. Good one today.

I love that handle for your 1924. Do you mind telling me where you sourced it?

Greetings,

After the excellent shave i had with the Palmolive 'Classic' Cream in the previous shave, today i've carried on using my grated down sticks, which provide me with a slick protective lather results in a 3 pass + pickups silky smooth shave with no errors to report...

It still amazes me every time i use the humble Palmolive shave stick just how good of a protective slick lather they create, it's a shame that some people have skin irritation issues with them...I count myself fortunate, that i'm not one of them.:)

Finishing the shave off in old school style with a very generous splash of Brut original..It couldn't get any better.;)

My face is super smooth & smelling devine..Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.

Thursday Morning;

Second recent outing with the Thomas Clipper & P&B Imperial Rum combo, as I'm getting more into the 'rotation' spirit. There was a mean lather to be had from this glorious soap and I was bombarded with the warming scent of bay and lime (mostly) for the pass + quick, light touch ups I carried out this morning. I loaded a little light but, if anything, that was a good thing as I wasn't too tempted to go for a second and third pass. I'm still looking a little red and patchy in places so took things exceptionally slowly and didn't overdo it by any means. I think the Feather Hi-Stainless blade on first use is a bit harsh, but this second shave with it really mellowed out and made light work of any stubble which foolishly crossed its path. I've another 38 of these waiting in the wings so I should get a good grasp of them someday...I hope...

I'm not particularly smooth but I look far, far cleaner, my skin looks far, far better and I'm irritation free. Heck, even the Boots Bay Rum, which is loaded with alcohol, didn't sting at all on application! I've gone for a different approach for normal, drying the skin out a bit post-shave to give that neck of mine a bit more chance to really heal up.

I've chased this up with a bit of P&B Imperial Rum solid cologne. Again, wafts of bay and lime keep creeping into my olfactory pathway. Very nice.

Onto the next one, chaps!

Prep....Shower, olive oil soap
Razor....Schick E2
Blade....Schick Proline B-20
Soap....Mitchell's wool fat
Brush....Blademonkey Boar
Post....BBA post shave balm
Scent....Oud Isphahan EDP

I whipped up a fabulous lather in my newly aquired Little wren bowl with the Blademonkey boar, the MWF produced a rich thick creamy lather in no time at all, my trusty E2 now fitted out with a B-20 blade made short work of my stubble, it was sharp and very smooth in the E2, a little smoother than a Chick blade I think. I was as smooth I require and my standards for smoothness are high ! BBA post shave balm....it's so good, it really is . My skin is looking and feeling great.
I used an EDP I have not used since the winter , Oud Isphahan , warm and spicy recomended to me a long time back by @wayne mattison, the first in a long line of enabelers I've come across since! It's great stuff though so thank you Wayne :)

Wishing you all a fab Thursday.......:)
