Razor: ATT R2

Brush: Maseto 24mm Finest
Bowl: Little Wren Pottery
Soap: Antica Barbieria Colla (sample)
Post: Reuzel aftershave

Firstly thanks to @Jel999 for the sample of ABC cream.

Well another high-end product has been tried, tested and failed. I was left thinking ‘'Is it me?'' (I can hear you screaming ‘'Yes!'' from here). This soap costs a fortune at £48.00 for a 100ml tub, so it must be good, right?

The scent was non-existent until the last past, which was a good thing as I didn't like what scent when finally arrived. Almonds apparently?
The lather looked OK but I didn't feel it excelled in any department. I was left feeling bewildered and wondering where I went wrong….in so many ways. :(Answers on a postcard please?
@Rohleder
The shave wasn't great either. The Gillette blade wasn't a brilliant pairing with the (usually) fantastic ATT S2. It wasn't very efficient and I needed a number of touch-ups to get a finish I was satisfied with. The only redeeming part of the shave was the Reuzel aftershave.

Thanks again to Jeremy for sending the sample, it's much appreciated.:)

Cheers
Rob

Another failure. Sorry Rob.
This was the soap, not the cream.
I found it superior to Saponificio Varesino which I know you like. Just goes to show that YMMV is so true.
My missus bought this in ABC's shop in Milan & had a photo taken showing her with the owners daughter who served her.
This makes it special to me.

Thur 9th November

Omega 11137 boar
Lea Classic soap
Schick Type O clone
Schick Proline [ 2 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse off
Lea Classic A/S lotion

Second outing on the O Clone, which many regard as mild is very good for me. During a shave there is a nice degree of blade feel to indicate how well a shave is progressing . Being very smooth and forgiving allows one to do those extra strokes needed to eradicate the whiskers from the stubborn areas, without causing any soreness.
So far extremely pleased with the performance of this Razor, which is very agile and may suit those who like an AC blade, but find the Modern AC/SE Razors a bit large.

Vie Long 04503
Schick G8 Injector
Schick (1)
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements 11235
Thayers Rose, Myrsol Emulsion & 4711 aftershave and cologne

One of my favourite shaves, can't beat 4711 and the PAA 11235 soap. The injector continues to impress but I can't go ATG with it on my neck, a bit too uncomfortable but aside from that a perfect shave. The Vie Long brush certainly whips up a beautiful lather.

Variant #3.5
Feather Hi-Stainless #1
Midas Synthetic
Cella

Thought I'd have a quick spruce-up over my lunch break, seeing as it's my birthday! Unfortunately, not one of my best shaves but perhaps one of my closest. Managed to lapse slightly in concentration and go purely ATG at the base of my neck, resulting in 3 perfectly-spaced weepers, which quickly stopped. Anything goes except ATG I've found, probably as my hair lies so flat there!

2 passes and I was done, with little issue otherwise. Feeling a tad raw in places but nothing major. Not sure I really get on with these Feathers... I think I'm more accustomed to blunter, smoother blades but life goes on!

Hoping you all have a great day! :)

Thanks Rob, you've saved me a good few quid. I was going to pick up some of this during a future Italian holiday. Good heads up, Mate!
