Back to where it all began tonight. I missed a shave yesterday to see if there would be a difference shaving with 2 days growth.....and what an understatement that would be!
Following my usual prep I returned to The Executive Shaving Company's Natural cream. Having practised over the last month I seemed to lather it much better. A lot slicker and I knew when it needed a bit of extra water. The lather was a delight to paint on with a really thick and creamy first pass. The scent was pleasant and reminded of why I took the plunge and tried out DE shaving....although that rabbit hole is getting deeper every day that goes by (currently got my eye on a new bowl [emoji6]).
The blade glided through the extra stubble and after my first rinse areas were already hitting BBS.
A second pass and my neck was where it would normally be after 3 passes plus pick ups.
A third pass with pickups and everywhere was perfectly BBS. Undoubtedly the closest yet, especially on my neck.
Rubbing my skin hard as I splashed on the Thayers there was no hint of any rough patches. Likewise, on with the sample of Saponificio Varesino after shave, no irritation or roughness. A very slight burn that disappeared quickly, leaving my skin clean and smooth. A quick rub of Proraso balm and done. A really good close shave that is up there with the best of them so far, if not just ahead.
The Saponificio Varesino is still lingering with a strong citrusy scent. Lovely.
Have a great night folks! [emoji1360]
