New, custom stainless steel brush handle

Some time ago I posted about a new, upcoming line of stainless steel handles launching soon but it seems that thread became a victim during the recent forum s/w switch.

I had the idea to make a 'companion brush handle' to my Wolfman razor as I really like the WRH7 handle.
I contacted James at Wolfman and asked him if it would be ok to create a brush handle giving homage to his design and he gladly allowed it.

So, I contacted Vincent (@Duvivier7) and he accepted the challenge with quite some enthusiasm!
A few days later the handle was ready...and this weekend I received it in the mail :D

Vincent even matched the brushed/satin look of the WRH7 - and all from just photos.
This one is machined to 25.5mm and 15mm depth to accommodate a 24 mm knot.
Due to the somewhat challenging design I gave Vincent it was hard to hollow out more and ended up weighing about 110gr. It's a very sturdy handle indeed and it goes really well with the heft of the Wolfman :D

(James has seen the finished handle and really liked it :) )

Coming up Vincent will setup shop on Etsy and his own designs will run $35.
Custom designs - including a potential Rubberset 400 homage handle - will have different prices.

I'm super excited about my handle and have to say Vincent is not only a real artist but also a really nice guy to deal with!

And, here it is next to the Wolfman.
I love it!

Coming up next:
Now I have to decide on knot.....but I'll be sure to post photos of the finished, knotted brush :)

I know there was some talks about a bulk order from him...maybe even a numbered, special TSR order (and a unique design of our own in SS or aluminum) and after seeing this handle I'd buy one of those for sure!

Yeah, that is real nice...I'm up for a group handle buy...
Aluminium might be a better bet as I imagine whipping a lather (with a troublesome soap) could be quite tiring with that one. You will have to let us know how it performs ;)

Will do :)

Aluminum might very well be the way to go as even though I personally like the weight here it might not be for everyone - where aluminum might fit more people's taste.
I guess the only real challenge is coming up with a TSR-design :)

Thank you, gentlemen. I'm getting left behind as young men more and more resemble women conversationally. As an older male, I need to be told what the feck we are talking about! Plus, have you any idea what it would take to make a stainless '400'? For aluminium ones, talk to Dr. D. or search the bay and empty your bank account! There are some much praised versions in pot metal over the pond. No stubbies I can think of.

I've spoken to Vincent about the Rubberset 400 model and he also indicated that aluminum might be the way to go for that model taking, if nothing else, weight into consideration. It's a design option he is considering and if it can be made at a good price point I know I'd be getting one. Or two.

I've sent this forum thread over to Vincent so hopefully he can come over and field any questions to remove any Chinese whispers :)
