BBA Shave Oil
RazoRock 400 Plissoft Noir
EJ DE89L/Derby Extra (1)
Derby Lavender Cream
Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel
CK Eternity Sumner A/S

Not the best three pass shave, got a small nick above my top lip.
Despite the slickness of the shave oil, and going gentle, I'm still getting razor burn/rash on my neck. I even got it when using cartridge razors on and off over the last. few years.
I think the skin on my neck has got more sensitive with age.
I have a permanently red neck, not the best look !

Pressure. Beard mapping( that is, if you aren't already doing this).

Pre-Shave: @khun_diddy Olive Oil Soap, cold water
Razor: Guerrilla

Brush: Tony Forsyth Platypus Prototype Bob Quinn Manchurian
Lather: Australian Private Reserve Winterfell
Post-shave: Alum, Stirling Bay Laurel Witch Hazel, Australian Emu Oil

I think it's mostly caused by my doing passes across and against the grain to achieve a closer shave.
The beard growth is in several different directions on my neck.
If I try to only go with the grain the result is as if I haven't shaved it at all.
I've only had this problem for the last few years.

Perhaps you may want to try a more aggressive razor, a sharper blade, a tallow soap.
Good luck...:)

Thanks

I'll go with the Futur (set quite low) and Mitchell's Wool Fat for my next few shaves.
I tried a Feather blade in the Futur for the first time last week and my whole face and neck were stinging.
I've got some black Treet blades coming so I'll try those or an Astra SP

Saturday's shave..

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Coal Tar Soap followed by BBA Shave Oil.
Razor - ATT SE1, Bamboo handle.
Blade - Kai Captain Titan Mild (Pink) (day 4).
Soap - Gentleman's Groom Room Essence of Scotland Sweet Gale Traditional Shaving Soap.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 - Best Badger.
Post shave - Cold water splash, followed by Myrsol "Plastic Shave" After Shave Massage and Organic Aloe Vera.

Great 2 pass shave, with slight touch up on the chin. The Kai blade for me (and I appreciate YMMV) is mild and gives a very good, comfortable shave. The Feather pros are also excellent, but so far, these leave my skin feeling slightly tight. Finishing off with the Myrsol was very good

I am really enjoying the ATT SE1 razor, performs well, solid build and looks beautiful.

Have a great weekend,

Chris

I've heard the Treet blades are mild so I'd go with the Astra first.
I'd recommend the Gillette 7 o'clock yellows. Sharp and smooth.

Hope things improve.
Cheers
