Closed ***Ended*** Pass Around: Schick Adjustable Injector ***Ended***

Thanks always a bit skeptical of multi blade though as isn't that what we have all moved from? They are a little rich those too!
That's what I used to think as well.. I have come full circle...
Personna injector blades will do for most.. Chinese Schicks if you are serious about your injectors... Japanese Twins for the connoisseurs.. NOS vintage blades for the obsessive and Personna 74 blades for the insane...

The Schick Adjustable is now with @Blackmass.

Anyone wondering what this injector malarkey is all about and if they are any good (they are!)...

On ebay, directly from Japan:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=Schick+Razor+Blade+Refill+Injector+Japan+II
Very good blades, but currently a bit expensive.. the seller I buy from doesn't have any and the weak pound doesn't help...
My favourite Japanese ebay seller has Japanese Twin blades back in stock: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371925222399
Quite a bit cheaper than other sellers and I had no issues ordering from them.

And the list for the Schick Adjustable is still OPEN. Try an excellent injector for free! Comes with blades! (Not Twin blades though)

I found a better deal here and he/she is in the uk so faster shipping and no custom tax to pay (remember you get that royal mail 8£ handling fee ...)

My Japanese seller ↪here is a few pennies cheaper, but the UK link is a good one (I don't have any experience with the UK seller).
If you buy just the one clip of blades from Japan, you're below the VAT threshold and no fees are payable.
Also, I have never paid any customs/VAT/Royal-Mail-ransom for stuff ordered from Japan. My theory is that the customs people see the Japanese customs declaration, don't have a clue what it says, ignore it and go straight for the parcel from the US next to it...

My last shipment from Japan incurred the Dreaded R.Mail ransom. The Customs Label very clear in Japanese English. col 7 shows the value of item which triggers the tax if over £15.

Could I be added to the list please Andreas?

Shave 1 with the Schick Injector Adjustable.

Many thanks to @Steve Bowles and @riverrun for giving me the opportunity to try this razor. It's my first shave with an SE injector, and I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I whipped up a lovely lather with the MWF and bowl lathered using a RazoRock 24mm synthetic. I used a Personna blade.

The Schick felt very comfortable in my hand, probably due to years of using a cartridge razor. Finding the correct blade angle was intuitive. But I had to concentrate to retain the right angle when shaving across the grain. The razor was very manoeuvrable, and I found that I naturally shaved a little quicker than I normally would with a DE. 3 very comfortable passes on a setting of 5. Very close, but not quite BBS. I think that having read other members shave reports I should have gone straight in on setting 7. Zero irritation and my face feels great!
On the evidence of this first shave, I can see why SE injectors are still so popular. Perfect as part of a travel set up, or for when perhaps time is a factor. Or, indeed, just for the pleasure of using it.
I will be picking up a Supply Provision Single Edge from the post office tomorrow (also a pass around), so it will be interesting to compare and contrast.
@Blackmass kindly added a pack of Schick Injector twin blades to the pass around. How do you folks feel about a twin blade? Isn't that edging back towards 4-5-6 blade irritation? Interested to hear your thoughts.

Very nice report :)

Try the twin blades they may rock your world.

I initially thought they were a gimmick but they work great for me. Judge for yourself.
