Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Pure Power Charcoal Face Wash and Proraso Green
Razor: GEM Featherweight
Blade: GEM SS PTFE (#2)
Brush: Semogue 610
Soap: OSMA
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphreys Witch Hazel
AS: Proraso Aloe Vera balm (Blue)

Cracking shave this morning, the Featherweight needs 3 passes but almost got away with 2. The OSMA soap is a mixed bag, I had to reload after the 1st pass as the lather in the brush seemed to fade, but the lather seemed to last fine on the face, odd. So while it is not up there with the great soaps the post shave feel was great, even before applying balm my skin felt great. The soap does not have a great smell, just kind of soapy but not strong and the small pot and puck size makes lathering a bit awkward, that is why I picked the Semogue as it was small enough. Using a brush like my Maseto 30mm would have been comical.

No suprise today, just the same as the shaves that have gone before with this razor and blade combo....Perfect. BB Smooth finnish with skin as smooth as silk and again with zero irritation .
I applied the BBA PSB not because it was needed because of the shave but because the colder weather is apon us now and I like to take good care of my skin.
I finnished off with a light aplication of Amber Absoloute perfume oil, a copy of Tom Fords EDP and very nice it is to.

Wishing you all a fab Friday but let's be careful out there whatever you're doing.........:)

As I was really pushed for time this morning....there is no photo today. Three passes with the Focus for a really smooth shave. 13 hrs on.....and my face still feels acceptable. I really am quite pleased I bought this razor!

Friday 15 SEptember :)

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap face wash.
Razor - Supply-SE
Blade - Personna PTFE (Day 1).
Soap - Kiehls Lite Flite Shave Cream.
Bowl - Little Wren.
Brush - Simpsons Duke 2 Best Badger.
Post shave - Myrsol "Lemon" Post Shave Splash, followed by Bluebeards Revenge Post-Shave Balm.

The best shave of the week - 3 passes, skin feels great afterwards, nice BBS. Was shocked, I did not think the Sabre-SE could be beaten, YMMV.

Have ordered some B20 Schick proline blades, from Japan @Bizzyberry thank's for posting the link on the SEptember thread.

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Pure Power Charcoal Face Wash and Proraso White
Razor: GEM 1912
Blade: GEM SS PTFE (#3) + Shim
Brush: Maseto 24mm finest
Soap: Pinaud Clubman
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphreys Witch Hazel
AS: Pinaud Clubman Lotion

Decided on a late shave today as I had the day off and spent most of it shifting about 4 cubic metres of firewood logs I just got delivered, boy am I going to feel it in the morning. At least I am all set for winter now. I finally got around to trying a 1912 with a shim, and I can now see exactly what others mean when they say it becomes smoother but also more aggressive. I have only used the Pinaud soap once before, and I got much better results this time, last time the lather seemed thin. This time is was great, it lathers up a lot like a cream. Finished off the Humphreys witch hazel so after shaving I dug out the Thayers Lavender I had stashed.

Hi, love this razor. Smooth and no irritation. What blade do you like best? For me the Astra could have been made for it. A supermax tends to tug. Much underrated razor!

So far I have only used Voskhods, Durasharps and Supermax Blue Diamonds. There has been a learning curve to get used to the pivoting head and I have assumed that differences have been due to technique rather than blade choice!

Pre: Warm water face wash
Brush: Semogue 1470 Boar
Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch
Razor: Gem Junior
Blade: Star Cru-Steel NOS
Post: Warm then cold water, Vitamin E oil, 4711 AS

A marvelous shave was had, due to the great combination of the vintage blade* and the Schafmilch.:)
Have a great weekend.

*Which I'd never have used if it wasn't for the magnifying glass given to me by the thoughtful and generous @Blademonkey.

Cheers Paul.
