YaQi 24mm 'Tuxedo' Synthetic

Really? I didn't know they make synthetic horse too

Ah, a naive englishman. :D You don't know what's going on in the italian post services. Even when everything seems well, you must thing of the worst, because often, they open the parcel, take what they like, close it back and deliver it to you. And then you find yourself in the unpleasant position to have to convince the sender that you really didn't find the object inside... It's no wonder that nobody uses the normal post service to send parcels, aside Amazon, for lightweight stuff only. Because Amazon is scary even for the italian posts. Youtube is full of videos about how people had their stuff stolen while in the post offices.

I've seen APShaveCo's Synth Horse

Maybe it's the same fibre as in this Yaqi brush?

A shame to hear about the problems with the Italian post.

A shame to hear about the problems with the Italian post.

I have no idea... I just pray to God that i get at least the 2 tuxedos and i will try not to order anything from China.

The italian posts are a state monopoly (even if on paper in 2011 the monopoly was ended EU-wide, in reality it was extended for 15 years in Italy with minister's decree). This guy sued them since the couriers of SDA, a daughter company of italian posts that does only express deliveries were sending him back rocks. (the normal posts do express packs too, but since everyone is scared of using them, they made SDA,as "superior service", to attract online shops to use them as express courier like DHL, etc). He sued because he was getting back undelivered packages, only he was sending phones and he was getting back...rocks of the same weight. And his hypothesis is that the employees of the express courier service, were making fake orders payable on delivery in cash, in zones they knew they would serve, they couldn't deliver (because nobody had really ordered), so the packages were going back to the post office to get sent back. Only, in the post office, they would open the package carefuly, take the phones, put rocks of equal weight, close it and send it back.

This is another, where they caught 3 employees while opening letters and even destroying them:

I hope you receive brushes, not rocks!

Me too! It's not over until you open it! In fact, even for national shipments, where usually the shops send you with insurance, if you just sign the package and then you discover a problem, you are not covered by insurance. Before signing, you must look at the package and if you see signs of tampering or that the package is very deformed, you must "sign with reserve of controlling". Only then the insurance covers the shipment.

Like i said, it's never over until it's over. I was expecting delivery today, but nothing. In the italian post tracking system, tracking is frozen at Nov 17. Nothing today. Now i just received message from Aliexpress, that the delivery was failed and in Aliexpress' tracking, it says: "Unsuccessful delivery,Item refused by addressee/Item returned to sender". God, give me strength!:mad: How can i have refused a package, when nobody ever rang?? And why don't they keep it at the post office and just return it immediately to the sender? This is insane!

After a night adventure, where all hope was gone and the responsible of sales without me even asking, prepared to send me new package (he even gave me new tracking number) and this morning calling the mail help service, i tracked the package at the main package post office, before it was sent back:

I am impressed by both, but i will stick to the synth. The handle is perfect for face lathering and people who like holding the handle from the rear end, by the fingers. The groove in there is just ideal for 3 finger holding. It has a 1 cm high glue at the center of the knot and the real measurements are 23x52. The difference in springyness with my S-brush, is abysmal! This one doesn't feel springy at all and has little backbone, but, thanks to the glue, it has more backbone than my EJ best badger! I haven't lathered with any of the 2, just tried them on my hand while wet. I have to say, that i understand those who abbandoned their badgers for the plissoft. Maybe the top top badgers are better, but i think this one emulates very well a soft badger. This plissoft, gives my EJ best a run for its money for sure.

Waiting for the tuxedos now. If they do have more backbone than the plissoft, i think i am done with badgers.

I just received and used my red barbershop handle 24mm Yaqi Tuxedo and even I have just used it the once it seems an excellent brush.

I was comparing it to the Yaqi Plissoft 24mm and I think there are some minor differences in the behaviour of each of the fibres but all in all they have superb performance.

Ok i've got 2 Yaqi brushes the one below which is a 30mm black fiber and a 30mm tuxedo. And I have to say the Yaqi black fiber is miles softer than their tuxedo. Wow the brush as beautiful. Its a sweet spot between an APshave's tuxedo and cashmere. Its not like the boss knot which I thought it would feel like due to the looks.
