A bit late but.......this my Le Coq Adjustable. A bit of a rare and unusual razor. It has no safety bar to speak of or place for the shaving soap to escape from, so frequent rinsing is needed. Made in france in the 1930/40's it adjusts from the bottom and has five positions with no stops

I have a few French floozies including another unusual adjustable.IMG_20171214_150645.jpg IMG_20171214_150705.jpg IMG_20171214_150734.jpg

These are great shavers!

Since getting the chance to try a Gibbs No.17 I have been keeping any eye out for one to buy, but they seem to be sitting around the 100 euro mark.

...yes it is a pain when prices rocket-up, probably not helped by threads like this one :); that said it is a terrific shaver, the design is superb and still looks good today. Consider posting a WTB on the forum or even bite the bullet and pay the €100; there is a chance that they may still keep on increasing in price and in a year or two €100 may look like good value - which it is compared to the Rex!
