Recommendations for a butterfly razor

Be the best brother ever and get him a vintage fatboy! Seriously not tried the Parker butterfly razors but they are a good make. I have a 24c and it is a damn fine daily driver.

I'd say vintage - there are a surprising amount available if you know what you're looking for. Gillette Superspeeds/Rockets are one obvious answer as are Slims/Black Beauties if you want a bit extra outlay (but certainly less than the £60 EJ).

Parker are reasonable quality, as are Pearl, another Indian manufacturer. Otherwise, a vintage Gillette or my favourite, Schick Krona.

Very true. They pop-up from time to time, and I've bought a few over the years. It's a pity the US ones, whilst not badly priced, have the high shipping and possible UK import penalties.

Another option would be to back the Parthenon TTO adjustable on kickstarter, delivery in June and free shipping along with 50 free feather blades. Made of brass. Not too bad.
