SOTD : Saturday 11th August - Friday 17th August 2018.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: M&F / Brad Forbes Finest Badger
Soap: XPEC Original
Razor: Merkur Futur (2)
Blade: Vintage NOS Personna Super Platinum Chrome (9)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel / Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: Chatillon Lux Santal Auster Extract

Equal best shave of the year for me so far. I love the XPEC original scent - a glorious masculine rose supported by cedarwood, oakmoss, and plenty else.
Whilst it is sold as a shaving cream, it is actually a croap, with sufficient hardness that I bloom it. Shaving performance is stellar - the blade glided so easily across my face that I was able to maintain very close skin contact without application of pressure. I was at DFS after two passes, and

Heno de Pravia glycerine soap pre-wash - RazoRock Plissoft - Wickham 1912 Classic 24 - Ever Ready Streamline - GEM SSC #8 - Alum - Blue Stratos A/S - Dove Instant Hydration Cream

I nearly sold this brush. After using it today, I'm rather pleased I didn't. It has cloud soft tips, and lathered like a dream.

Good weekend...

Decided to finish the working week with a flourish.
The Fine soap doesn't get enough use, the Streamline has nudged my other vintage SEs to one side to take pole position - loaded with my favourite modern blade , the Thater brush is dream to use and finally the Floid Black has grown on me and complements the soap nicely.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Pre shave: Warm shower and L'Oreal face wash + Noxzema Shave Cream
Razor: Schick J1
Blade: Personna (#1)
Soap: Truefitt & Hill 1805 soap
Brush: Kent BLK4
Bowl: Korium
Post shave: Alum block, cold water splash and Thayer's Cucumber witch hazel
AS: Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey lotion
EDT: Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey

I have only used Chinese Schick blades in the J1 before and while the shaves were okay these blades seemed to work better in most other Injectors I have. After enjoying a Personna blade in the the Supply V2 I thought I would give one a try in the J1. The first 2 passes were great, smooth, mild and efficient. I should have just stopped there, the 3rd pass was not necessary and introduced some burn in places I went too close. No blood drawn and the irritation passed quickly, but that has to be one of the closet shaves I have had in while.
