With the pass-around Rocnel Gem I used a jewellers loup to ensure the exact positioning of the blade to make sure that the edges were even within the razor because my eye sight is not what it was but it still managed to bite me, when I rounded the corners off the blade that problem disappeared. I am pleased it is working out for you though.

Glad to hear that there's someone else who needs a bit of "eye-assist"; in my case, an ex-Met fingerprint magnifier. The blade set-in is only about 1-2mm per side, so it's important to get it right. I find that if I draw the loaded head between finger and thumb, and feel any "catch", then it's not quite right.
Taking the blade corners off a bit seems a simple precaution, and I'll try that next time.
