Wilkinson Soap Bowl

I expect just like me it was one of the first soaps you bought. I only started DE shaving 2-3 months ago. As it was sitting in my cupboard I had a thought. Is it really bad or just lack of experience in blathering made it perform badly.

So this morning I grabbed it and gave it a whirl with a boar brush. Well it produced more lather than I needed for a 3 pass shave, was thick and didn't dissipate.

Well it's back in my rotation as for the money (currently £2 in Wilko) I think it performed above it's price point. The other thing is I like the refreshing to see smell for which I haven't found anything else like it.

I tried it for the first time this year. It got relegated to the shower and the great little tub now has a puck of TOBS Jermyn St in it.

It's alright but too much hard work to get it going.

The scent changed when bloomed, not for the better IMO

Noticed it in Wilko when I was (unsuccessfully) trying to buy some Palmolive sticks . I might give it another try!

Thanks....but my local Tesco is a Metro and doesn't stock them. My nearest large store is about 20 miles away. The joys of living in rural wales!
I COULD get it locally for 99p!

Ah that's unfortunate. Though I have seen it sold at some of the Tesco Metros in a city centre.

Even 99p is a bargain though for the soap. I really like it except for the smell.

I always live in hope of a reformulation with that one. The WS sticks are good!

The Wilkinson soap in the blue tub is just subpar and hasn't changed for years - quite in contrast to their shaving stick that is a completely different soap and very good.

Probably would....but Wilko is only a short walk from work. The exercise is good for me...and I am not in any rush

Agree. It might just be the time of year to crack mine open. It's beem sat in its box since early spring this year.

The Wilkinson soap in a puck is just a waste of money, even if it is costing pennies.
