My new feather was delivered this morning from shave lounge, the original had to be sent back to feather and replaced but this one arrived with a pack of complimentary blades...as always excellent customer service from Anthony. The SV arrived before but forgot to post it !

A GEM G-Bar in a beautiful Bakelite case and some blades included too.
I've already had this razor on loan a while back so I already know how good it shaves. Thank you Paul. I'm over the moon.

I've had a bit of a binge, what with Santa coming and all that. I'm an impatient sod though, so it's all been opened already, apart from the brush... that can go under the tree

So far this month I have acquired...

A Lastral straight razor from Billy (I'm at the bottom of the learning curve!)
A strop and paste
50 Rubie DE blades from Russia
A Yaqi 2 band badger brush
A double dose of BBA shaving cream and post shave balm (Excellent stuff, and superb service)
OSP barbershop soap and splash
Plus a full set of brush, razor, mug, soap, selection pack of blades etc for my son... gotta start 'em early!

There are some more blades on the way. I think I should stop for a while now, it's getting to be an obsession.

No pics, as my phone camera is busted and I blew the budget for a replacement on shaving gear.

EDIT: Plus a kilo of Vitos soap and four smellies from Mr_Perfume. I managed to forget about those!

I'll tag you in the post when I come to use it. It's definitely heftier and the balance is definitely different (more tail-centric than the Variant), so I'd anticipate it's easier to achieve a lighter touch, angle permitting.
