SOTD Saturday 9th December 2017 - Friday 15th December 2017

Sunday 10th December 2017

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Birch Sap Face Wash and Proraso Red
Razor: Schick J1
Blade: Schick - Chinese (#2)
Brush: Plisson Pure Badger
Cream: Crabtree & Evelyn Indian Sandalwood
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers Lavender Witch Hazel
AS: Chanel ÉGOÏSTE balm
EDT: Chanel ÉGOÏSTE

Evening shave.

BBA Face Wash.
MWF.
SOC Cherry Boar.
Little Wren Pottery.
Mongoose B3 + Ikon OSS Handle.
Proline P-30 (5).
Thayers Witch Hazel.
Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve Aftershave.
Aloe Vera Gel.

I'm giving up on MWF. I whipped up a perfectly decent lather this evening, and a very nice two pass shave was had. But I have had so many fantastic lathers recently from the likes of Vitos, OSP, PAA, La Toja, Valobra etc etc that I realised I don't really need the slight apprehension I feel whenever I tackle the MWF. User error I'm sure. But life's too short. For those that are venturing in, have a safe journey to work tomorrow. I think I may ‘work' from home.

Yaqi Mysterious Space 26mm Fan
iKon SBS on Windrose Behemoth Handle
Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (1)
Vitos Red
Thayers Rose, BBA Post Shave Balm & Extro Bay Rum

Second shave with the SBS this time flipped to the more aggressive setting. The difference must be minimal, maybe a little more aggressive but nothing too drastic. I feel the shave was better with the milder plate. A good shave though, looking forward to trying a Fatboy tomorrow. I'm not a fan of Bay Rum in general, the Extro was nice, much nicer than Ogalalla Bay Rum but all in all not my cup of tea, as far as scents go.
Excellent photograph of fine tools.

First and foremost Barry.
Work from home mate, it makes so much sense. ;)

Secondly. I do totally understand what you mean regarding MWF.
An awesome soap on the provision you haven't tried any thing else. :)
The cushion, glide etc is up there with the best but in IMO the scent lets it down considerably.

To conclude.
I do believe that perhaps you have been far too spoiled. :p

Just saying! ................

Kai Titan Mild Pink [ 4 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse off
Lea Classic A/S Lotion

Not the best of Shaves as rather rushed having got up later than usual. Had to prepare Sandwiches ,Shave , shower with no time for relaxed Shave. Decided on a quick Shave, which was going quite well when loud noise from kitchen caused me to jump and move the Razor sideways! to cause a small nick. Fortunately I could staunch it easily and did not go out looking too bad. Prior to that was enjoying the Shave ;)

I am posting this on my i pad as it is taking literally over an hour for the new Windows update to load onto my PC. When I shut down last night it was supposed to install it then but for whatever reason it did not. I am now up to 75 percent and I started at 0630hrs this can't be right!

Update: Completed at 0815hrs and I have a reasonably quick machine, is it because the server is so heavily loaded with millions doing the same?

Anyway here is the photo.

I think you are entirely right about the soaps Wayne. And as you can see, I'm ‘working' from home right now

Prep ~ Shower, Birch tar soap
Razor ~ Blackland Sabre level Two
Blade ~ Gem SS
Soap ~ LPL Fougere
Brush ~ Semouge OC Boar
Post ~BBA Post Shave Balm
Scent ~ Yardley 1770

A great shave with the Sabre and the LPL Fougere sample kindly given to me by @patw , thanks mate. A very good soap indeed, silky and slick and offered plenty of protection. The Sabre just mowed the stubble with ease leaving me smoother than any dolphin you could care to mention! :) I finnished with the BBA PSB and a light body spray of Yardley 1770, just perfect!

Have a great day people.........:) P.
