What are the top 5 soaps that you use the most?

I only use 3. MWF, LEA and DR Harris. Just ordered a puck of MWF to try the new formulation. Tried a bunch of soaps 5-6 years ago but only these 3 have hung around.

Gluing or not gluing wedge, that is the question...

Traditionally you don't glue. One it allowed the scales to flex better since tangs were tapered. Two, with proper peening you can move the blade to adjust how it centers and is harder if it is glued.

Is one finishing stone enough to live on?

Unless you are restoring or repairing dings or chips a finisher is all you need. The key is to maintain your edge and not continually rebuild it. WilliPeter is back on Youtube

In reality that's all there is to it. Most shaves take 3-5 minutes for 2 passes. I like how he just uses a boars knot with no handle

Did blades last longer in the 1960s?

Short answer ... no. Long answer... no. Gents just did not obsess over what was a daily chore for personal hygiene. If you did they just looked at you closely to see if they could detect any tin foil you may be wearing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Alum block question.

Alum blocks last a long time. I stick to Osma and other french blocks because they are so smooth and polished. Worth the extra pennies if you ask me

What gives a better post shave than Haslinger?

I really like Green Mountain Soaps for post shave feel. I have worked my way through 3 pucks this year and have no desire to change it up which is rare
