No code needed. https://www.tayloroldbondst.co.uk/collections/black-friday Not clear when it ends. I was hoping the Royal Forest was included, but alas not, there is some Platinum cream though -- not going down well?

    Body Shop Macca Root Cream

Not used the new stuff but the old formula was superb. Nice to see T&H No. 10 mentioned, used mine again recently and was blown away by how good it is. Even better, I got my for £4 when Creightons had a sale on years ago.

    Lush

I popped into the Lush branch at Waterloo some time back, got assaulted by the competing scents and then had to dig through a drawer to even locate the shaving stuff. Decided to leave it.

    Ingrams bargain!!

I'm with you. Not enough menthol and poor consistency, at least in the tube I bought a few years back.

Exactly that. The DE89 wins on fit and finish, but it's milder.

Anyone else miss this new Wilkinson Sword Retro Classic?

Received my earlier in the week and have had a couple of shaves with it. I tend to agree with your statement. It's alright. Reasonably well made, feels solid in the hand, quite long, good weight. It's a little on the aggressive side, but not too much. A definite step up from my DE89 though. As...

    The new Gillette ad

Sticking my cynical business hat on... Clearly Gillette are under pressure. Their market share is being eroded away by all the subscription services and startups that are using less traditional (and cheaper) forms of advertising. Plus they're getting plenty of push-back on prices with consumers...

    The best after shave balms...

Not tried any of those. I've tried stuff from the bottom to the... well, middling bracket if you count Creed, which skews it somewhat. There are differences (usually the fragrance), but none of the pricier options have done an obviously better job IMO.

    The new Gillette ad

Yes, not sure what all the fuss is about. If you're not a dick, why would it offend you? Just give yourself a little pat on the back and carry on. The female perspective of the world can be quite frightening...

    The new Gillette ad

Apparently it's causing a stir: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-46874617 Definitely a departure from their previous line, but looked pretty good to me. Thoughts?

Anyone else miss this new Wilkinson Sword Retro Classic?

Popped up on Instagram today, but looks like it was released at the start of the year. A step up from the plastic Classic it seems. Aside from Boots (not online) and Tesco (and online), they're on Amazon and eBay.

The absurd quest to make the “best” razor

Subhead: The $3.5 billion shaving industry is secretive and litigious — and disrupting itself silly. Interesting article on the state of (mainstream) shaving: https://www.vox.com/the-goods/2018/12/11/18134456/best-razor-gillette-harrys-dollar-shave-club

An interesting Article (The Best Creams)

A solid list, but heavily weighted towards the old names (3 Ts and DR Harris). Looking back over my reviews, a few I would add: L'Occitane Cade LEA Murdock Proraso St James of London XPEC Plus a few that offer better bang per buck (Creightons products, for example), although TOBS is stellar...
