Nice that you get decent tracking with Aliexpress. Both my Futur clones took just over a week to arrive. I've also ordered a leather camera case from AliExpress for my Ricoh GR. Interested to see what the quality is like on that.

My £6.50 QShave clone just showed up from AliExpress. Looks great, just like my other one :-) The tension on the top cap is better on this one. I noticed the parallel bars have been slightly bent to increase the tension. I had to do this myself on my other clone. No big deal.

Yes, nice to chuck a razor in too! Yes the stand does have that logo on it. I just turn mine round so I can't see it :D These razors are quite ridiculous really for the money. If I'd paid £50 for it I would certainly feel like I'd bought £50 worth of razor.

I'm not sure what he's faffing about at in that second video (not watched all of the first one but looks like the same issue). All he needs to do is unscrew the razor to see what's happening with the spring. Something not quite right with the tension. The Futur and the clone are very particular...

Probably! After reading around, one of the features of the Futur is weaker blade tension compared to other DEs. You can tell this by carefully pushing the blade against your nail. The top cap puts very little curveture on the blade, so less tension. Interesting design compared to the Progress...

No harm in trying I guess. Will see what happens!

So the spring doesn't do anything for the issue I have. I needed to bend the two parallel rods inwards to create a tighter fit with the top cap. Much better. The head isn't too wobbly now. Still not enough tension on the blade though for my liking. Will give it a shave tomorrow.

It's a Ming Shi 2000S from AliExpress. They're all the same regardless of seller I think. Btw, these things come apart exactly like the Futur so I'll see if putting more tension on the spring will help.

Mine arrived today. Looks great for the money. However the head is very wobbly and puts very little tension on the blade. It will probably go in the bin unless I can see a way of 'fixing' it. I gather the original Futur can also suffer with this so maybe it's normal.
