    Leatherman Juice. Multitool.

Ta for that snippet, Littlefish. I've stuck it on a forum called Multitool.org (for £100 including UK postage) which seems more based in USA but has a limited UK contingent with some UK sales having taken place. It's been listed for a few days but with no success to date. I also put an...

    Leatherman Juice. Multitool.

I'm still drawing breath and haven't cut my throat with a Feather blade. Don't post much ... still enjoying using the razors, blades, soaps and smellies that I picked up along the way. Today, if you fellows will indulge me, I'm off at a tangent .......... I have a purple Leatherman Juice XE6...

    Leather or Bay Rum Recommendations

In reply to the last couple of posts, I disagree wholeheartedly about ALL Bay Rums smelling the same. Might as well say all beer tastes the same and all curry dishes taste the same. If Ambersnake is interested I copy below the ingeredients of my home made BR. To be honest I wouldn't bother...

    Been absent for a while.

Hello Greg. Nice to see your name on the register again. We've exchanged words, and a couple of items of hardware if you remember.... although I'm struggling slightly to recall what the items were. Was one of them one of those heavy razors with an unusual cap? What was it called? Was it a...

NATO watch straps ... a spot of advice please.

Here's one of the cheap Casios with a 22mm two piece strap from AliExpress (£3.53) with the shoulders notched to allow it to fit the Casio. I've ordered a blue strap (£2.67) to go with the blue face Casio.

NATO watch straps ... a spot of advice please.

I'd like to know why Haveston, which is apparently in the UK, shows it's prices in dollars. I'd also like to see a bit more about the company in the "Contact" and the "About" sections of the website. Obviously aimed at slightly more stylish, trendy customers and not certainly not cheap ...

NATO watch straps ... a spot of advice please.

Thank you. Point taken re. TimeFactors ... I would have bought from them at the time but they were closed for a fortnight. But they are in the UK (which is where I am) and have UK contact details and are priced in pounds sterling. Haveston don't have any visible means of knowing where they are...

NATO watch straps ... a spot of advice please.

^^ With regard to that particular point, how are they meant to be worn though? There are loads of clips online that offer opinions about how different individuals prefer to wear their straps - with two thicknesses under the watch, with one thickness under the watch, with the excess folded...

NATO watch straps ... a spot of advice please.

I've a suspicion that the people who make these things realise that the straps are shipped all over the world, not just to the Asian market (who may, or may not, have thin wrists) ... and I also can't believe that the Chinese (who manufacture almost everything the world consumes) don't know how...

NATO watch straps ... a spot of advice please.

Update ... six new watches and a brace of NATOs and two piece nylon straps. The blue and orange Casios were about £12 each delivered (one from China). The beige face Kinetic Pulsar was from a Rubicon Ebay auction and was £44 + £3 p&p. The big green face Pulsar was £34 (discontinued bargin)...

NATO watch straps ... a spot of advice please.

^^ Yes, I suppose so. I have seen that there a few different techniques to use a NATO (one with the extra flappy bit as opposed to the RAF style which, seemingly, doesn't.) And because of the shortness of the two recently received from AliExpress I've pursued the method wherein you only thread...

NATO watch straps ... a spot of advice please.

Lastly ... (hopefully) ... I see that Natos on Timefactor or Watchgecko are 290mm or 300mm ... certainly no less than 280mm Whereas on AliExpress most are around 260/265 for sizes up to and including 20mm - with the length, sometimes, increasing a bit for 22mm and above. OK I realise the...

NATO watch straps ... a spot of advice please.

Really impressed by the service at AliExpress. Several of my orders are here. Two Mr Neng "two piece, NATO style" straps arrived today and a previous Mr Neng order got here a week ago. Great service and the quality of the items looks super. Cheap as chips. Vast range of colours, styles etc...

Another "What Gillette Tech" is this please.

Yes, you're right. The handle is def. a 1904 Merkur and the head will have to remain unidentified (and certainly not the best). Ta.

Another "What Gillette Tech" is this please.

All received. Indeed, I think we can say 42C with some certainty. And the Tech base plate is whatever it is... obviously UK but can't see any way to date it ... and the top cap could be brass or Zamak ... not going to cut it in half to find out. Further thanks.

Ah... now it's falling into place. You're ringing bells. I'm so very grateful. Yes, 1904 rings a bell now.... Top man! I just this minute used it... the 1904 handle with the Tech head. With a new Voskhod blade. Remarkably undramatic. Reasonably close and perfectly comfortable after multiple...

Another "What Gillette Tech" is this please.

Thanks in advance. Had a look online - including Mr Razor.com. Saw lots of similar, if not identical heads, but none of the handles matched. Handle's 75mm / 3" long and quite slim with diamond pattern. Handle feels quite heavy (41 grams). The bottom plate of the head feels like aluminium...
