    Separation issues

Hi, My brush handle and brush knot decided to part ways yesterday, I've not had this issue before, any particular glue recommendations to stick these back together? Thanks.

    Best value (new) adjustable ever!

In all fairness it takes a full press of the button, with a bit of pressure, to release the cap so accidental release is unlikely, however the slim possibility of the top cap flying off just as you get to your adam's apple should provide quite the exciting shave!

    Best value (new) adjustable ever!

2nd outing, and its actually....... ok. Played around with the angle of attack and took the adjustment between 1-3 and found 2.5 reasonably lethal. Its got a big blade gap, on 2.5 it looks like its yawning, but I'd have to say I ended up with a very close shave with surprisingly low irritation...

    Best value (new) adjustable ever!

I was perusing AliExpress adjustables (as you do) and noticed when I re-installed the app it saw me as a new user, end result, I was offered a Yintal adjustable (Futur clone), with the press to open for a very reasonable 70p, delivered. How does it shave you ask? Pretty bad, but still 70p...

    Moneyshaving expert*

My face gets quite dry post shave and I always use a post shave lotion. I've touched on this before, I've been experimenting with making my own post shave creams, started with a scentless base and adding 3-5% of essential oils scent mixes (plenty to choose from on eBay) can give a really well...

    Plating affecting shave

Hi, I recently bought a Yintal butterfly adjustable from Aliexpress, its a very well made razor, however the plating is a matt silver finish which I feel seems to drag significantly during use. Compared to a chromed or stainless steel polished finish its noticeable and affects the quality of...

    History of Shaving

https://www.visualcapitalist.com/the-history-evolution-of-shaving/ It appears to be an advert, interesting nevertheless.

    Overhyped products???

I'd say when you are starting off it can be slightly more difficult, as there can be a grey area between watching reviews and researching what to buy where you may end up watching the influencers peddling the free wares they have been sent for likes and subscriptions. Forums give a more rounded...

    New Purchase

I saw that unfortunately after letting mine go, switching round the internals seemed to do the trick apparently.

    New Purchase

By all accounts a good looking and performing razor, I'm look forward to giving it a go however my experience of TTO and adjustable has been decidedly mixed. As they say, mind the gap. Rockwell Model T (1st gen) = Looked amazing, really rough shaver, sold on Fatboy full refurb = Broke on 2nd...

    New Purchase

New purchase from AliExpress a butterfly adjustable, a very nice looking razor IMO and a bargain at £23. Not sure what its a clone of, but being AliExpress its probably a clone of something;) Yintal does seem to have a slightly better rep, anyone tried this? Mine is due mid January.

Looking for something cheap, but surprisingly effective

Bought Cella and 3P, 3P arriving later this week. I'm loving the Cella, amazing aroma, great rich lather and very smooth, fabulous stuff.

Looking for something cheap, but surprisingly effective

"I need to regularly stop myself from trying to stockpile it" This is very much something I can relate to.

Looking for something cheap, but surprisingly effective

Lea sticks, La Toja, Arco, Proraso, TOBS, Palmolive (stick and cream) MWF, OSP and a few others that I can't remember. There are a couple in this thread that I'd like to give a spin. OSP Dark Matter is probably going on my Xmas list as a stocking filler :)

I don't think you need to spend a lot to get an excellent shave

Looking for something cheap, but surprisingly effective

I'm in a hard water area and struggled to get this to load the brush.

Looking for something cheap, but surprisingly effective

La Toja, like the scent, little softer than Lea, not quite as slick but definitely lathered better. Haven't tried the other recommendations

Looking for something cheap, but surprisingly effective

I bought a heap of Lea sticks in Spain a couple of years ago as they were dirt cheap (remember international travel?), however I'm starting to run out. I am looking for a cheap hard soap that is at least as good if not better, any recommendations? I tried Arko, don't like the scent. Cheers.
