Have you considered a Cadman brush? I've got one of the ones he made for MDM, its a High Mountain White Badger or whatever it is, buts its soft as a cloud and so very dense. Essentially a marshmallow on 'roids. Lathers like a trooper.

I found that I needed a much wetter brush when lathering, that really helped the soaps burst into life. with the OSP creams a dryer brush is needed and work the water in. Play around and see what works, but load it well to give it a good chance of working!

I tend to go at my top lip like I'm going to slice my nose with the tip of the blade, but obviously make sure I don't! Pulling my nose around make a good difference too, stretches the skin and gives you more area to work with. Just check your blade angle and pressure! with you on the chin...

Fair, the scent is a little strange. Kind of reminds me of a steam room? You're right it does leave some stuff left over but I think that's from being slicker than an oil spill. Trial and error and all that!
