I have both the oc and the one ion the picture. The SB is heavy but very good and smooth shaver. The oc is more efficient.

The OB I consider to be an efficient razor that needs no technique to accomplish a BBs for people who have recently turned away from carts. Once a decent technique is mastered, there are other more satisfying razors to use, also way less expensive. I have 2 Genesis V1 which I rarely use.

Hello, I'm looking to trade for one or these Rocnels and for trade I have the following you can choose any three of. Oneblade genesis V1 Rocnel SE-P OC Rocnel SE-P SB Rocnel SE-50 ATT gem head L2. All in original packaging, except the ATT which came in an envelope.

The V1 Genesis will accommodate the Gem, albeit without clicking in place as intended for the dedicated Feather. As more and more people opted for the Gem blade in their V1's, OB came out with the V2 which makes it even harder to use a Gem, with a slightly smoother shaving head and yes the heads...

I don't have the core, but I have the V1 Genesis and I de-spine and trim the Gem to fit. If you have a nipper, it's a breeze.

The vintage 1914 Ever Ready Gem razor might fit the bill for you. It certainly is a great razor for me.

Great work, I have the V2 and it's still a paperweight, I was thinking about doing the same thing, but don't know how without any specialized tools. How did you achieve this?

We share the same preferences in blades according to razor efficiency. I too use the pro super in the General and the p-30 in the MR-SE

Thank you for your experience, yes, I do use the V1 on plate 2 and very rarely when there is substantial, multiple days of growth, I would use plate3. So I'll stick to my V1 for the moment.

A straight has no guard to protect and guide you, the Hawk does, it's also far less aggressive. I only have the V1 and I must say if the V2 is as efficient as the V1, for me and YMMV, I would consider it a bit less than mid-aggressive. Nowhere near as aggressive as the V2 Claymore or the Asylum RX.

Choose your blade wisely, don't use pressure. You will be surprised how much wider the razor is and the area it covers with every stroke. I don't hand stroke the blades, but you can do it and see if there is a difference. Prolines P-30 are what people gravitate towards lately and my blade of...

Thank you for the review, I do have the V1 and love it and always wondered whether the V2 might be better. I like the 2 dot plate on the V1 so it would be unnecessary for me to get the V2.

Well, an SE blade is more rigid than a DE one, but there are DE's out there that clamp the blade very rigidly. With an SE you cover more skin with every stroke and an SE blade lasts longer than a DE. Apart from that, it's what one prefers to use.

If you want aggressive, throw the safety bar away and clamp the blade with the handle and the top cap. That's what my barber claims he does.

I got them from Connaught and i live in Cyprus. I had to get permission form feather though.
