You must try Gillette Rubies: they‘re the only blades I‘ve found that work as well as feather blades in my AS-D2. Nacet are nearly as good, but not quite.

Just goes to show: for me Nacets are one of the best blades you can buy..as ever YMMV. Out of interest: what razor were you using?

The soap you use to wash your hands is not suitable for wet shaving. Shaving soap has to do a different job entirely: normal soap has to clean, and shaving soap has to lubricate, so the that blade glides over the skin. Buy some shaving soap or cream, and a decent brush to apply it with.

What blades have you tried? If you haven't already tried them, try Polsilvers or Nacets, they work in just about anything. If you still experience problems with those blades, then the problem lies elsewhere. Or you are an alien......
