    Fake Shark blades?

Let me qualify that then: they initially sent me poor blades that seemed to rust easily, and when I complained to them they told me that there had been a bad batch and sent me a complimentary 500 blades, which were excellent. If you are sent poor quality blades, complain. The squeaky wheel gets...

    Fake Shark blades?

Quite. It's really worth investigating which blade brands are being faked so you can avoid them, or at the very least get them from the best sources and by so doing possibly avoid buying fakes. The best blades I have had recently were the blades sent to me with my Rockwell, i.e. Rockwell...

    Saving time with bath shaving

Pears Transparent Soap has a 4.4/5 stars review average on Amazon, from 451 reviewers. Here at theshavingroom it gets a universal thumbs down. Go figure. But nobody here disagrees that baths are more relaxing, surprisingly.

    Saving time with bath shaving

I have over 200 bars of Pears, bought at a very special price in bulk. I would not call it "garbage" ... it is the only easily-available soap that does not make my skin itch. It also works just as well as a shaving cream to lube the shave. Sodium laurel sulphate is harmless when used in a soap.

    Saving time with bath shaving

Baths have their advantages. I have a pelvic pain condition that requires hot baths, known as "sitz baths". If you have a stressful job, then a bath is useful as well for relaxing in a way a shower won't do. My shaved hairs go into a little jug, not the bath. Regarding water usage, the average...

    Saving time with bath shaving

Thanks Blademonkey. I like showering too, but I find a bath relaxes my painful muscles in a way a shower cannot.

    Saving time with bath shaving

For years I shaved in the bath with cheap disposable razors using only glycerin soap as a lubricant. Eventually I decided that I didn't like the price or aesthetics of using plastic disposables, so I bought a Rockwell 6S (great razor!) and started shaving with the full kit (brush, cream etc) in...

    Fake Shark blades?

Unless Lord replies here or to me personally, we will never know. And I doubt they will, based on their clunky website and non-responsiveness to emails. I highly doubt blades that last only one shave before the edge is wrecked are genuine.

    Fake Shark blades?

I let theshaveshedebay know about this thread hoping for the sort of response he has given. I hope that the Lord company comments too. Regarding the shading, the two boxes are completely different. Mine is on the left. Look at the white areas around the shark fins too. This does look like a...

    Fake Shark blades?

Each shaver uses hundreds of blades (on average) per year. Multiply that by billions of men shaving, and there's a decent profit to be made by selling fakes. Fake blades are common: https://www.thecounterfeitreport.com/product_details.php?product_id=113 If you read the Amazon Feather comments...

    Fake Shark blades?

I've written to Lord in Egypt (2 days ago), the manufacturer. https://www.lordshave.net No response yet. Gave them the link to this thread. They have a very crappy website.

That packaging is completely different. I'm calling FAKE on mine. Look at little things like the shading in the 4 balls under the shark.
