Good afternoon ladies and gents, hope you're all enjoying your weekends!
I've been contemplating buying an aftershave splash..... but wasn't sure what are good ones? I've been looking through the forum and have seen brands come up time after time, but wanted some advice on the subject..... please help!

Cheers,

Dan

There are Hundreds to choose from, depending on your budget and type of smell you like. Most aftershaves scent won't last that long, their main duty is soothe, calm and care for the skin, so if you want the scent to last longer you may consider buying an A/S with matching EdT.
In the UK, you can get Boots Freshwood, Superdrug's Forest Fresh and Old Spice would do the Job under £5. I also like M&S Harward(scent lasts quite long) From e-bay, amazon or online vendors: Proraso green and red, Cella, Speick, Pinaud Clubman, Floid, Aqua Velva etc... they are all affordable, alcohol based, good products without overpowering scent.

Of the ones I have tried I have found Razo Rock Santa Maria Del Fiore to be the best. A wonderful smell, soothing for the skin and surprising longevity. The smell lingers on you for a good few hours afterwards. I mean you will not fill the room with scent, but if someone is quite close to you then they will certainly smell it.

Also in the UK, depending on where you live, some budget shops can be a good source. For example Home Bargains, B&M, Savers etc.. Aftershaves to get are; Blue Stratos, Hai Karate, Brut, Quorum, Denim, Gillette, Mandate are the ones I can think of and majority of them are less than £5

The best performance wise are Lotion Opaline, Speick and Proraso. Great scents are Pitralon Classic, Quorum, Old Spice, Blue Stratos and Brut. Cella and Lea are recent introductions which are also good quality.

I am undecided on Tabac, and a friend wouldn't let me into his home wearing a Superdrug AS the one time I used it :D.

I concur with these recommendations.

Quorum is good value at around £8 for the aftershave, or you can buy the aftershave/EdT set from allbeauty. com for around £17.

I took a punt on Lynx Dark Temptation Aftershave, and it not only smells good but also leaves my skin hydrated and very supple. All for the princely cost of £2.99 at Home Bargains.
