Alum block question.

I use this stuff, it's great, BUT, if you do buy it at H&B, give the container a gentle shake to make sure the internal block is not broken, I tried 6 once trying to get a solid one. I think their delivery system must be a bit rough!

Ok, picked up one of the large ones of these today. Took your advice and strangely found none that rattled. Yes I should have given in after the first one but my curiosity got the better of me. Caught the attention of a very keen young spotty lad though who wanted to know if anything was wrong!!!!

One things has occurred to me though. These apparently last ages and I can see why but once worn down there is a shed load of the stuff contained within the handle. I would think once the plastic was pulled away you would be left with a piece comparable to a small alum block any way. Or am I just being tight?

If you are then so am I! I cut the plastic away and carried on using the sizeable chunk that was left :) P.

That sizeable chunk left though actually looks big enough to be a good £4 alum block on its own. Maybe we could start a company - send all your 'used' arm pit alums to this address and we can rebadge as Osmas or similar and pass them on!!

Maybe taking the thread off post so will not answer all of that but hey ......... what is this mortgage thing you speak of? ;) . Endowments? Mmm. Just got out of that at the end of the downfall. Nice thing was , with mortgage paid off those little endowments kept coming in for a few years and the wife did not have a 'scooby'.

er.... did I mention I am 58? Which alum shall I use today? I have so many? ;) . or .... I actually have 2 and some tiny pieces where I keep dropping the buggers.

Mmmm still going to have to wait to 66 for my old age pension though. Never mind, not long until freedom pass and no prescription charges. ;)
