Doing a feature wall.

Right I've got some vintage maps. I'm thinking if I put paste on the maps they will go very fragile. So I'm thinking pasting the wall would be better? Any advice would be appreciated please on technique & paste. The wall at minute is painted with emulsion.

Cheers

In another life, twenty years ago, I used to make A0 (120cmX84cm) panels for oral presentation (at that time Powerpoint was barely known or used and people used Windows NT ...)
We were utilising some kind of double side glued paper (sorry I don't know the name in English of that kind of paper; OTOH, tape like this is very common) as an intermediary layer to glue blueprints to carton/cadapak panels. So if you glue carefully your maps (you need a good technique to avoid air bubbles, a bit like replacing the screen protection of your smartphone, but harder), they will become some giant stickers that you can put virtually anywhere.

I think it's that : http://www.ebay.com/bhp/double-sided-adhesive-sheets

Here's the principle (the sheets I used were way bigger and not clear, I think it was a roll):
