April 2017 Acquisitions

Some blades. I recently picked up an Ever Ready 1912 so I needed to get some blades, went to tryablade.com and decided to make up the order to as much as I could but keep it under import duties.

Some SE blades for the 1912, tryablade.com do a 4 blade sampler 2 x Stainless and 2 X Carbon steel.
Some Treet 7 Days Platinum as I had read good things about them and I will try anything once, well almost anything.
The ZaZa, like I said I will try anything once.
And as I like Lab Blues and the price was low I picked up some of these too.

Three months in and you've found the rabbit hole! Dark down there isn't it! :)
Haha! You definitely know how I'm feeling; when does it stop? Once you've found something great to buy and think that's it...here comes an LE group buy or you find another spectacular, small batch made item. I'm gonna have to set some limits! Being on the forums with the beautiful SOTDs is not helping my wallet.

You only live once, life is for enjoying, you're a long time dead! :)

Last month after shaving with my Parker 22R,i placed it opened upside down to get all the excess moisture & water out of it,then by sheer accident it fell from the window sill resulting in buckling one of the arms, which was beyond repair, ending up going to the DE razor graveyard.I was quite gutted, however having a collection of another four parker DE razors it softened the blow slightly..i missed my 22R, and having not really bought anything Shaving related since last december, and justifying to myself, i decided to replace it..i went to "The Bay" with whole intentions of purchasing another, then i spotted the Parker 94R, of which i was totally drawn to, not because it was slightly cheaper no, because it looked a more solid, better design, lovely knurling ,heavier in weight,a 3 piece razor, and slightly smaller size to the 22R, i done a quick review check on the 94R, and it had excellent ratings, i also watched a few youtube videos on it, and I was sold...i'll still always consider the parker 22R,a excellent great value razor..but i've pushed the boat out and purchased, a Parker 94R razor which will be added to the rest of my Parker DE Razor Collection.
Here she is, and i look forward to shaving with her.

My SV felce aromatica limited edition has arrived this morning the scent is no where near as strong as my 4.0 version hopefully that will change when I lather it :0)
The SV Felce soap I bought a few years ago had a subtle scent from the tub but almost nothing off the lather. Very disappointed with it on the whole (although many people rave about it). It's gone cracked and dry now which just adds to my dissapointment. Maybe I had a duff batch.

the beta 4.0 version in the card board packaging smells amazing this new one hardly has a scent when just smelling it from the tin same with the bath soap
