Oh I like it make no mistake :) I hadn't watched the BBA videos prior to using it, so now I know it can work in different ways, that adds a couple of strings to it's bow, which can only be a good thing. I'll try it in the other ways this week to get a more rounded view of how it operates :)

Thank you @Emma C. :) The performance of the moisturiser is more important than the scent, which really doesn't last long enough to be a problem, and like you say, it may well grow on me over time. I did find the consistency unusual for a moisturiser, but I won't judge the book by the cover so to speak. The performance so far is very good on this, and chances are that this could well become a permanent part of my routine. I like the pump dispenser option as this will offer a convenient storage and dispensing method.

Now, I'm keen to know a bit more about your pomade. I assume that from the 'non greasy' description, it's an orthodox water base pomade? What sort of scent does it hold, and how do BBA rate the 'hold'? :)
+1 on the pomade info,....I tried the Defining Gel,..worked OK but it was too "stiff",...for me and didn't comb out as my preferred pomade does.

The Pomade "Provides a strong, glossy non-greasy styling hold." The Scent is the same as that of the Post Shave Balm. Infact all of our Shave and Styling products have the same scent. The Skin Care range, have the more earthly scents.
At the request of many, the full ingredients list of all of our products will shortly be available online. I hope that that will help.

OK so I just had another BBA shave this morning...

BBA Face Wash, BBA Shave Oil, Cadman 26mm Silvertip, BBA Shave Cream, Bluebeard's Revenge Shavette, Astra SS (1), BBA Post Shave Balm, BBA Face Moisturiser.

I can say hand on heart that this was the best shavette shave I've given myself. Two very successful passes with minimal weepers. Regardless of whatever shave medium is used, a shavette shave always leaves me feeling raw due to the aggression of the blade, but the Post Shave Balm and Face Moisturiser really shone today, and instantly cooled and soothed. These are definite winners in the product range.

The oil provided a good preshave and then a great shave medium, both on its own and combined with the cream.

The cream continued to shine, and was easier to lather in a larger bowl, and protected well against the aggressive shavette/blade combo.

The face wash also proved to be good this morning, lightly scrubbing and preparing my skin for the shave.

Apologies for the late feedback. Didn't get a chance to post sooner.

I received the AS Balm and have managed to use it a couple of times.

It comes in a nice pump bottle and I found one 'pump' was enough for a full face application.

Initial impressions - The colour, a rusty brown, seems strange at first but it doesn't linger when applied. There is no discolouration on the face afterwards.

It feels nice and thick but not greasy. It hydrates the skin well and I didn't notice any burn or stinging.

It has a pleasant cologne type scent, reminds me of Nivea Shaving cream or TOBS Eton College. The scent doesn't linger too long and I didn't feel the need for an aftershave, but if i was to apply one there might be a scent clash, all be it a brief one. The scent is not overpowering in any way.

It's a very decen AS balm, one of the better ones I have used.

Would I buy it?

Maybe, the price is definitely something that would require careful consideration.

So, today's shave was another BBA shave, this time to find out the post shave qualities of the cream, with the cream being the only variable in an otherwise normal routine.

Hot Towel, BBA Cream, RazoRock Monster brush, Merkur 39C, Astra SS (8), Cold Rinse.

I face lathered after the hot towel to benefit from the mechanics of lathering on the face (extra exfoliation in lieu of the face scrub), and performed a normal three pass shave. Rinsed off with cold water only, patting the face dry. This was circa 5:30am, it's now homing in on 7am and I can say that the post shave feel is top notch. No dryness, no taught sensation, no irritation, zilch. Top marks there on the cream for performance and post shave.

Suffice to say, I am thoroughly enjoying the range of products so far :)

So this morning was another shave with the cream and balm to follow up:

Hot Towel, BBA Cream, Cadman 26mm Silvertip, Muhle R41, Shark (1), Cold Rinse, BBA Post Shave Balm

Now I'd been meaning to switch out the handle on the R41 for a while, and today I stuck a very heavy stainless handle on the head, loaded with a fresh blade. I face lathered the BBA Cream, and one thing I'd like to point out is that the cream takes a lot of water. This is a good thing as it introduces hydration throughout your shave. The razor and cream combination today provided one of the best shaves I've had in a long time. Smooth, slick and scarily efficient. This is an aggressive razor at the best of times, but applying the heavy handle, it transforms the razor into a super razor. Combined with the rich creamy lather, it's a match made in heaven. No nicks, cuts or weepers meant there was no need for the shave matches, so I headed straight for the balm. This added a level of decadence to the shave.

I'm hooked.

Hot Towel, BBA Cream, Cadman 26mm Silvertip, Muhle R41, Shark (2), Cold Rinse, BBA Face Moisturiser

Today I wanted to see if the moisturiser stands on its own without the aid of the BBA Post Shave Balm. The actual shave was completed in as grand a fashion as yesterday (read, superb), so I rinsed and applied the moisturiser. That was at 5:20am this morning and it's now 6:40am, and my face feels fantastic.

Hot Towel, BBA Face Wash, BBA Shave Oil, BBA Shave Butter, Muhle R41, Shark (3), BBA Shave Matches, BBA Post Shave Balm, BBA Face Moisturiser

My first time using the butter today. I gave yesterday a day off so as to have a bit more stubble to deal with. The preparation was really nice today. The shave butter (brushless) did a good job, and we all know I like how the post shave is with BBA products. All in all, a successful first use of the Shave Butter.

What I did notice was that instead of a really slippy glide, it was a silky smooth action, akin to a perfect ball bearing joint. That level of smooth. Only niggle is the clogging of the DE, but it's a minor inconvenience at worst.

The root issue is that I moved the offer here, which is the right place, but it's not right for the ensuing discussion. Once I can get to a 'real' computer, I'll split the thread and put comments in General Shaving and leave this thread for BBA future offers.

Mail call for me today!

I am more than pleasent suprised with package Emma /BBA send to me. To be honest, I was thinking there will be just few sampled size product, but... I got more than I expecting! They send to me (in Croatia) full sized shave cream and post shave balm with lot of samples!

Once again many thanks.

Now i must try it. And write something about it. But this will be pleasure! [emoji3]

Hot Towel, BBA Shave Butter, Bluebeard's Revenge Shavette, Astra SS (2), Cold Rinse, BBA Post Shave Balm

I tried the butter on its own today against the shavette, and found more than acceptable results. I think I was a little too conservative with the quantity of butter applied, so will add a little more to tomorrows shave. Tidied up with a DE due to time this morning.

Hot Towel, BBA Shave Oil, BBA Shave Butter, Raptor Shavette, Astra SS (1), BBA Post Shave Balm

Well well well, this was much improved over yesterdays shave. I used a touch more butter for each pass, and it was noticeable. The oil gave the little extra glide needed, and in the usual style, the post shave balm finished off the shave perfectly. It's not often you'll catch me shaving with a shavette in quick succession, but the positive results gained from using the BBA products have tempted me into doing so. A very successful two pass shave was had this morning in almost the same time it takes to perform three DE passes, with closeness not far behind, and irritation non existent!

I expected an envelope with a sachet (or two) of shave cream sample, but Emma /BBA sent me a really nice box of everything!

First impression was – whoa! Nice packaging, simple, minimalistic and elegant design. Just like I love it. Idea of marking products with just two letter is damn good, IMHO.

For the first use I choose just two products – cream and AS balm.

Shaving cream has nice clean scent. The scent is not long lasting and dissipates fairly quickly. And that is good. The lather is easy to produce. And it is a very good lather, with great slicknes and give a very good protection. So good that you can realy enjoy in shaving. Post feeling is great. Overall – I give excellent mark to the cream for performance and post shave.

I also love idea of small built in shave bowl. But it is maybe too small.

The Post Shave Balm is – absolute winner! I love ASB but this one is something

I know that PS Balm isn't white, but I was suprised with it colour. It is brown, or rusty red. It is strange to me but there was more suprise. The PS Balm is very thick (almost like a cream) and sticky. At first I was like – What the... But after just few moments after I put it on my face, I was in heaven!

Face feel is fantastic! The skin is so soft and smooth! I expected to be a little bit greasy (becouse of it thicknes and stickynes) but nothing! It absorb very fast and leave just great feeling on my face! I made shave last night, and now, almost 12 hours after, my skin is still very happy skin! ;)

I like the pump bottle. Rely good idea!

After first use I am more than satisfied!

Will I recomended this products? Yes, I will! PS Balm is absolute winner, and if you like ASB, you must try it. Shaving cream is also very good. But there is some other creams which are at least good like BBA SC but are cheaper. On the other hand, BBA SC give you a touch of luxury. And who doesn't love touch of luxury.

Once again, I whish to give a big thank you to Emma and BBA for letting me to try this wonderfull products!

P.S. After few more uses of BBA product, I will write a little more about it.

P.P.S. I hope there is no grammar nazis ;)

This thread now moved to General Shaving for discussion of BBA products. This will avoid having to wait for moderation before postings can be seen.

Perhaps Emma, you would kindly post any offers or discount codes in Vendor Offers and we can discuss the products here.

I hope this will be a bit more convenient.
