Tabac deo stick works well for me unless it's really hot and humid, as it is here in Germany at the moment.
After reading a few of the replies here I think I'll try an alum stick to see if that's better.

I used to use the original version of this when I was a teenager in School, some 23+ years ago. It was terrible, as the gel just sealed off your armpits. As soon as you started to sweat, in particular on the sports field, it was like a seal broke, and the sweat all poured out at once. Terrible stuff. I hope they've improved it A LOT since then.

I have used it in the past few years and IMHO it was superb for 48 hrs. and I live in a brutally hot/humid area. I also used the Right Guard 96 hr. gel, but I could only get it to go 72 hrs. here due to the punishing climate.

I recommended it because it's nuclear stuff. It will make a homeless bum smell nice without bathing at all. The worst thing you can do when you are sweaty and in a pinch is to rub/spray deodorant over your sweat. Not this thing. Just annihilates smells and sweat. + I never had irritation or pores clogging from it like with most deos (the soap consistency ones are the worst).

I'm far from the hormonal metabolism of a teenager and I don't have an active lifestyle like some do, but I can vouch for this deo that it won't disappoint when you least need it to.

Alum does nothing for me, sadly.

This is an antiperspirant. A bit different than a deodorant.

Excerpt from drugbank.ca:

Description
Aluminum zirconium octachlorohydrex gly is complex that consists of aluminum zirconium octachlorohydrate and glycine. It is an active antiperspirant agent [8], [9]. It diffuses into the sweat pores and prevents perspiration (sweat) from leaving the pores. The anhydrous form of the compound also has water-absorbing properties. Currently, the FDA allows the inclusion of this substance in concentrations of up to 20% in antiperspirants [11].

Interestingly, this chemical has been studied in relation to its possible impact on the microbiome of the human underarms [2].
