Best Deodorants

Thanks guys. Surprised to see homemade deodorants being promoted. Whatever works I guess. I picked up a Gillette Cool Waves gel stick one earlier, half price at £1.50. Took blooming ages to dry. Will see how far into a full day it lasts and perhaps try alum as well.

That L'Oréal stuff was truly shocking. Never in my life have I felt so absolutely enraged at a crap deodorant by mid morning :mad:
 
I just shower twice a day.as I don't fancy smelling like a dottering old professor who reeks like a billy goat's azzhole. :eek: Since I shower twice I merely use a cheap Mennen stick as it will make it till the night. I used to use a crystal, but due to high heat/humidity where I live it petered out after a mere few hours.

I've had to shower twice daily this week due to it being so hot and using crappy deodorants which are now in the bin.

If I'm on early shift, showering at 4:55am and stinking already by 9 am with a few hours left at work is far from ideal !
 
I have a crystal but haven't the nerve to try it. I use Dove or Sure roll ons from Savers for a quid. They are excellent, I did use Sanex before they were bought out by Unilever/Colgate. They did a mineral version that was very good.

If you are looking for something without "bad incredients" I highly recommend trying the Speick Men deodorant stick. For me it works pretty well. And from my personal experience it's better than the deodorants (stick & roll-on) from the Speick Men Active Series.
 
i use lots of different types......the best by far is "agua de colonia alcohol free spray"....great performance, keeps you dry all day even in this heat and the citrus scent lasts just as long. its getting harder to find at a good price.
 
I have been using potassium alum for years and I find it to be the best deodorant for me.
It is odorless, does not stain, does not clog pores, it works for 24hrs, best value since $5 will last one year. I use it in a crystal form but do make the liquid deodorant for the rest of my family (just crush/powder one tbs of potassium alum and dissolve it in a spray bottle with 8oz of distilled water).
Oh, did I mention it is odorless?
 
I've been using this for years, it's one of the few that works well, doesn't irritate my skin and that I can tolerate the scent of.
