Birth Year Razors - sought & available

Hiya,

Well this razor won't be getting wet here so I am offering up a 1983 (D1) Super Adjustable in good shape.

Let me know if that year grabs anyone,

Postman arrived bright and early this morning with this - many many thanks - its a beautiful piece and thank you for the blades, there really was no need, but thank you - I will enjoy trying the Titanio blades - I dont know if I can bring myself to open the Gillettes though!

Those couple of Titanio blades are Spanish vintage ones sent to me by a snake oil salesman and they're nice ones. Heh, please try to open that pack of Gillettes. They will shave like a Spoiler.

Oh, did I mention both blades being a little tougher than usual to come by, mainly because they are extinct so good luck if you like em. Gosh darn it!
 
Hi, this is probably too close to Christmas (meaning my finances are in a bad way!) but I was born in 1969, so does anyone have a 1969 Super Adjustable they want to part with?

I believe that 1969 is 'O'.
 
Can anybody let me know what razors were available in 1977 please?

I understand the code for February 1977 is X1 for the first quarter of 1977.

I've seen something saying that the Tech wasn't available in 1977 but there's a 1977 tech on the bay.

Any advice appreciated.

You're the same as me X1...

I have an X1 Super Slimtwist and an X1 Black Beauty.

I've also seen a few X1 Techs on eBay.

This one? I hazard a guess and say it is 1952. It has a notched guard, making it pre-1965, no? Pretty knackered as well.

Disclaimer: I'm not a Gillette expert and happy to learn that I'm wrong.

Yes that's the one. I've only just started looking at vintage razors and like the idea of a birth year razor.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated Andreas. I certainly wouldn't have been able to tell much about the guard and wasn't sure on the condition either. I'll give it a miss.
