Hi and thanks for your offer. I would be happy to give them a try and score. Thanks for the offer. Pm sent.
Confused. Line#116 on your spreadsheet shows the image of the super platinums but the info from the normal platinums.

The supermax super platinums are in a silver box as shown, inner packaging is a dark blue wrapper of the same design, with yellow stripes.

Nive piece of work that spreadhseet :)

Having tried a few different blades myself now I felt I'd have an idea if it was worth my while following it, based on the results for the blades in there that I've tried it is indeedy :D

Now, has anyone put together a variety pack of all the top marked, in production, blades in there? Say those scoring 17 and above?

I'm happy with the Astra Super Platinums, and (in my adjustable) the Feathers, so trying the other high scoring blades is now on my to do list :)

Thanks. Glad it was helpful. I did sell some sample packs a few months back but not any more. Lose The Beard on here often sells packs; not sure what his selections are but if he's still doing them he might put together a custom pack for you. Probably won't have all the blades scoring over 17 but a good fee of them

I've just found this after someone else linked to it, it's brilliant! My rating of the blades I've tried seems to match yours, so it looks like the only thing that may be better than my current favourite (Personna med) is the Polsilver SI. Might have to give those a shot...

Thanks!

Are these Personna Blues? if they are, they are reasonably cheap.

Looks like them.
I ordered mine from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360858906072
Your link is cheaper.

As a newbie who's just received a sample pack from lose the beard, this table will certainly help me choose what to start with.

I've been shaving with derby extras til now (about two weeks) and to be honest, I'm getting on fine with them in my Bluebeards Revenge Scimitar (essentially an EJ DE89).

Cheers,

Stu

I'm thinking of removing the pricing column from my spreadsheet. My thinking is the 'bargain or not' factor shouldn't keep a relatively average blade with an artificially high score, or hold back great blades which can be pricey (or not!). I think it might be better to just judge the blade on whether it's good or not, and not let wildly fluctuating prices factor into it at all.

When I started this I never thought so many blades would vary in price so much over time or indeed that the table would be used so much by so many for so long. I'll see what people think (if they post their comments here) and make a decision next week. If I did remove the column the scores would all drop and I'd have to re-think the colour bandings for the score totals accordingly.

Good idea!

Speaking for myself, the price of blades is practically a non issue considering how cheap they are relative to cartridges.
