I mentioned, here, the possible demise of my Sun Ray:

I thought I should look for a line drawing to see how the 1912 fits together. I found it here; I haven't checked but suspect the work may be the product of @riverrun: http://www.razors.click/patents/US1018783/patent/
I think I now know what the issue is: the 'rivets' which fit the spring plate to what Mr Scheuber called the supporting frame appear to have failed. They are tiny, which makes one appreciate the tolerances to which Ever Ready were working, more than half a century ago. Epoxy resin might provide a botch fix. Maybe someone like @twhite510 has a micro drill and fancies a challenge - I'll cover US post! Have a look too @pjgh - you might have encountered this with another 1912.

Let me study up on my 1912's and see if there is something we can come up with.
