Cheap grinder suggestion

If you intend to buy beans going forward the cheapest 1/2 decent grinder is an MC2 which is spprox £140 new. If you go over the UK coffee forums you can pick them up for £80 second hand, plus other better types
If it's a one off you would be better asking a local coffee shop to grind them all for you
Or maybe a Hario hand grinder? £30 ish
I am afraid it's a topic similar to shaving and a question like, "someone please recommend me a razor as tesco have run out of Mach3"

I use the porlex mini grinder which was around £30, it is a hand grinder but very good. I wouldn't recommend it if you have to make 10 cups though. It's fine for me as most of the time I am only making one for myself.

This is what I use:

Just over £30 but is used every day and has worked flawlessly for over a year now.

Same as me, definitely not for an unpressurised espresso basket.

Would you say either of those two hand grinders would grind the coffee well enough for a nice espresso with a thick crema?

My grinder packed up a while ago now the space it once had in the kitchen has been "reclaimed" so a small hand one would be ideal

Yeah the hario has a good burr in it. Check this video from the girls at Seattle Coffee Gear (they do a lot of good reviews) :

Skip to around 9:20 if you're impatient to see crema from a hario
