Cheap shaving brush

Hi,

My personal recommendation will be for Zenith boar brushes. Ridiculous cheap in any size and much better quality hair than Omega ones.

I agree with @Sir_eider Zenith are seriously cheap and a bit better (IMHO) than Omega. I own two (had many more in the past) and they were excellent right out of the box..Semogues are great but more pricey and take time to "break in"

The Body Shop Synthetic £8 but often less due to offers is another option, easy to use and take care of and it makes a handy travel brush.

Simple question. Can anyone recommend a decent cheap shaving brush? I know the Wilkinson Sword brush is one, but any other recommendations for about £5 or thereabouts. It's not for myself. I am trying to put together a cheap starter kit for friends and family to persuade them to get into de shaving.

Problem with cheap is that it can mean crap. Crap products= crap shaves and will most likely have them running back to carts.

A better question would be what shaving products are the best VFM. (I think shaving products hit a point of diminishing returns on price very quickly).

For a brush, the body shop synthetic is great VFM. Synthetic would be your best bet

What is the size of the knot of the brush?

The rosewood shaving bowl looks to be an absolute bargain!

Culmak sell British made brushes that you can buy from their website or from eBay. They sell a couple of counter types (Concord and Vega) and a couple of boxed ones, Knight and Viscount. I have used a Viscount and for me it is similar to the Wilkinson Sword Brush in quality.

@donnie_arko I think the knot size looks like a 20mm x 54mm loft height

@donnie_arko No idea i'm afraid but it is a nice brush: soft but with some backbone too. Forget the rosewood bowl. The soap is nice but the bowl is dyed and the dye runs and goes everywhere when wet.
