England have under achieved, not under performed.

Group stages where 3 teams from 4 can go through is a shit system, which only encourages the lesser teams to play defence as their best form of attack, Slovakia had hardly any possession in the last match, and for 85% of the second half had 10 players in their half of the pitch, that's like trying to thread the eye of a needle.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 3 is the highest amount of goals in any game so far?
And the Wales 3 against Russia were lets be honest,against a beaten tired bunch who looked quite happy to be going home, was not a massive surprise.

Next comes win or go home...... If we fail I'll happily join the constant criticism bunch, but until then.

Oh well, perhaps a Brexit vote tomorrow will enable us to put a reasonable limit on non England qualified players in the Premiership. That might help with quality.
 
We haven't even figured out our best formation yet and we're already at the end of group stages. Would rather have Roy at the touchline, as we clearly haven't prepped fully. All three matches played should have been easily won. If on paper we are better it's an ineffective system on pitch. Hopefully he can rectify this. Hopefully..

You get the impression we are a couple of tweaks from being a very good side. Everything is there except the final killer blow. This will take time to get as the squad is only young and i doubt it will come within this tournament. I remember thinking the same of young Germany side a few years back, and I hasn't worked out too bad for them!!!
 
Looking at how the draw has panned out it's completely one-sided. The top half has just Belgium and Portugal of the stronger nations whereas the bottom half contains Spain, Germany, Italy, France and England. It's making Roy's meddling seem all that more stupid now.
