Ever-Ready Nylon Lucite handles are perfect candidates for modern synthetic re-knots.

I've had this 500N for a while with a different synthetic knot in, but I really enjoyed lathering up with the Tuxedo knot that I placed into its larger brother, the 600 (with a 24mm knot), so bought in a 22mm for this handle and re-re-knotted it.

What a stunning job.
I love the Ever Ready Lucite and am currently on the lookout for one.

May I ask, where did you source your knots from please?

Regards,
Wayne.

Cheers!

The 24mm came from Canada via eBay. The 22mm from Virginia Sheng (China), again, eBay.

If you do happen upon a Lucite brush and want to re-knot it, usually the knot will come free with a good grip, twist and snap. Gently, clean out the hole and re-line it with nail varnish. The bigger 600 has been re-lined with nail varnish, the 500N as it was when I pulled the original knot.

Thank you Paul for the advice.

Much appreciated.

It's a nice idea. I'm loathed to say yes because my process is not pretty - more the Butcher than the Surgeon. If a twist and pull doesn't work, it's a full on drill with spade bits. I'm not all fancy fine with a Dremel. I'm probably on par with brushes broken and brushes that were successes.

How many have you got that you'd sell is prob a good start? Make more than you need and sell them
