From Russia with love...

It's not my looks I am worried about, it's important things like sperm count :D.

Fair enough! I've got bigger problems...

I'm sure that's the image of the "perfect human" or something to that effect, or rather, highlighting the bone/muscle structure required to survive an otherwise lethal car accident.

Also in seriousness I think a number of people find boric acid and sodium tetraborohydrate (borax) drying. As for parabens, there's limits imposed on how much you can use in cosmetics so I don't concern myself too much with it. I'm sure I handle far worse chemicals... that being said I do have a 120 gramme bag of methylparaben in the lab...

Quite right, "Graham" I think he was named :D

Interesting about boric acid, must admit I don't have a Scooby doo when it comes to ingredients so just try products and see how my skin reacts... No major nasties yet apart from TOBS sandalwood which gave me an itchy rash.

My thoughts exactly, how would you describe the Tete-a-Tete?
To my nose, I would say bit earthy, bit woody and a barely hint of oak moss. With that sweet background smell which is standard in all the Russian colognes in my collection. When I say sweet smell I actually mean sweet literally, not sweet meaning pretty. I hope it makes sense as I am not very good at describing scents. When you receive the Cyphr and Red Moscow you will understand better that 'sweet background' smell.

Well boric acid will turn a flame green! Sometimes used in pyrotechnics demos or demos by teachers! Fun little fact for you! Borax used to be exceptionally common in washing powders/detergents and is alkali in solution so might be used to achieve either cleaning qualities or balance pH (though soaps are alkali anyway so I'd assume the former...).

I'm of the same ilk, if it doesn't negatively affect me I'm fairly happy to use it. :)

I have used it for ages as a laundry soap booster and also I mix a little with sugar & set out to kill cockroaches:

I don't have a sensitive skin and mostly never have problems with soaps, creams, a/s and asb. apart from Musgo Real and Tobs Sandalwood creams but not always. This Svoboda a/s balm is very soothing, quite different than a balm but it calms and soothes the newly shaved face.

You can also mix a 50:50 pva glue : water mixture with borax and make "slime" for kids to play with!

Tell me about it! ...... I've got a couple of pounds of Borax....... about twenty litres of PVA glue (in both white and clear) ...... numerous food colourings, glitter and other colourful additives ...... three tins of Gillette shaving foam (it smooths it out, don't yer know?) ....... and feck knows how many pots and tubs of multicoloured / textured slime all around the gaff.

Daughter and Niece are selling the stuff in school. Doesn't look like they're getting bored of it any time soon, either :D
