Gem Junior Query

Greetings

I was abroad when I first read this thread and was therefore unable to post these pictures, my GEM Junior was not marketed as The Parade model but I am sure it is exactly the same. I purchased it new old stock in it's original box about five years ago from a seller on e bay from the states, he had for sale an entire box of them about two dozen if my memory serves me right.

It is unplated raw brass and therefore I can say without doubt it was always this way, some GEM Junior's I am sure were 'Gold' plated; actually gold washed which wears off very rapidly leaving the raw brass underneath and some were nickle plated. The baton handles were not the only handles offered there was also a thinner Bakelite handle sold as a military set with a Bakelite case and a standard nickle plated handled model. The baton handles were made in black, maroon and olive and I have read blue although I have never seen a blue handle, they are hollow with an open base whereas the similar Treet model has a plug in the handles base forming a seal.

Regards
Dick.

Thats one nice looking razor in plain brass !
I find the baton handle very comfortable and that the blade angle to face feels very natural !
Have you used it much, and if so what do you personally think of how it shaved ?
Greetings

I have had literally dozens of shaves with it and it gives (at least for me) a really first class easy straightforward shave, the sort of shave you don't have to think much about or try too hard; for me it's about as simple and quirk free as any razor could be.

Dick
