Been using disposable blades and razors for a long time skin seems to be as tough as old boots. Decided to go the straight razor route so will be buying a few very soon preferably old steel. I do have quite a collection of hones both synthetic waterstones and a collection of natural hones both UK and US. Experienced in sharpening woodworking tools and Japanese kitchen knives but know nothing about straight razors.

Nice choice though I prefer Highlands and Speysides. That's the great thing about Scotch it's very individual. Just like traditional shaving.
