Hone type 15t

Dear @Riggs and @Wayne Pritchard Thanks for your interest :) I do have some Type 15t sets left, and they are ready to ship, and, they are indeed at a new price.

I decided not to put them in the normal shop as the titanium was somewhat of an experiment for me, and was only meant to be a one-off exercise so it is indeed quite niche. But after the initial reaction to the price, I got some quite heartfelt and honest feedback from customers and other enthusiasts that supported Hone and felt that I was perhaps doing more harm than good to my brand making these. So the new price is now almost at cost. (I did also received some stunning feedback from others who love their titanium Type 15, and who have completely buoyed me. Needless to say I learned a lot from making these and that is whole point isn't it?) :)

Part of why the cost is so high is the compound surfaces on the underside of the razor are quite tough to make simply with machining, requiring a lot of time (and broken bits) dialing it in. Even the top cap isn't a pure radius, it is a spline curve so I can control where it flattens off to expose the blade. And I want those two parts to marry perfectly on the outside. This is also why I only made 22. The form is simply uneconomical to make in quantity, in titanium.

If you have any other questions I am more than happy to answer them.

Thanks Andrew for the reply.

How does the 15t compares to the other 2 razors in terms of mild/efficent and things like that. I am assuming its close.

I am hoping someone who's got it can post some comparisons or share their experince.

@Riggs Thats right, it is very close. Its technically the same as the 15a, but heavier. In terms of weight its between the brass and the aluminium. The surface is a little more grabby I would say as a metal (but that might be a perception from machining as much as anything)

I wish I could spend more time on the forums, I do manage to lurk, but want to get my activity back up.

I think the website is the first contact with the buyer and often people keep it very simple. While simple is good i think having a good website is really needed. I really like your website for me it has all the info I need while being modern.
