Jinhao 599 Fountain pen

@Darkbulb This Crown paper is really nice, no bleed or show through what so ever. I like the texture and weight of it and will certainly be purchasing the writing set, (A4 paper and envelopes).

I used Grape ink which is very nice, in fact I think I like it better than the blue black . The photo below don't really do it justice as the colour balance is slightly off towards the green spectrum and the light is uneven, but I think you get the idea. Would I recommend this paper? Absolutely!

Next up will be the Kokuyo, which I have used with the blue black ink. I will be buying more of these as I like the size and page design. I will find something to write and put a photo together of the Kokuyo Notepad. Really pleased with my purchases from Cult Pens, fantastic service to! :)

Very nice, thanks for the photo and write up!

@Darkbulb you will love the Kokuyo! The size 180x250mm stitched bound and really nicely laid out with date and No. in the top right hand corner. I also like the way there are very small indents spaced evenly across top and bottom blue lines, this I guess is so you can join them to turn the page into graph paper, I may be wrong here?? Not a feature I would use much but I guess it may come in handy for some things technical.

I will buy a lot of these as they will make great daily notepads for me. A problem I have with my current A5 pads are their size. I find them too small and my daily jobs normally spread across two pages. A bad habit I have is I never list what I have to do in any order. The amount of times I have turned the page to discover that I should of posted something and now the post office is closed or I should of emailed/telephoned someone and now the office is closed. These pads would resolve this, as I can scan the page which will be a big bonus.

The other positives being no bleed through on the back side of the paper and because it's also lined you could use the back of every page.

Again the photo does not do this or the ink colour much justice.

Jimhaos are good pens for the money well worth a punt. I had to laugh about Moleskine paper being good for fountain pen ink though. Even with Noodlers X feather it bleeds like a bugger.

I dont use any fountain pens on my moleskines not worth it. It seeps through. Ciaos are my go to when I want to use a fountain pen.

As for Jinhao's these nibs are smooth!! I bought a few online and whilst I have other makes these are always inked and ready to go.
The adaptors are not great but do the job. ..

Well i keep a journal and I like to use a fountain pen. I particularly like traditional Indian ebonite eye dropper pens :) Tomoe River paper is really nice with fountain pen ink but it is pricey.
