My therapist told me in these situations stop doing what you're doing & take a short break. So I decided to go for a little walk, this involved passing a number of charity shops. I'm now £6.00 lighter. Anyone recommend any decent soap pucks? Really after a spicy bay rum type.

A #3 black rubber stopper for one of my GP20 scuttles for $0.72 at the local Ace Hardware. Georgetown Pottery wanted $8 for one with their logo on it, but I decided I didn't really need that.

Now I can say that I am a proud GEMoholic too! Arrived by the morning and already cleaned/sanitised and ready to go! Only had to lift the left hook with a scalpel because it was a bit flatten and didn't let the blade sit correctly.

Cracking razors, one of my favourites

A few bits and bobs:

• Vie Long white horsehair brush.
• Empty soap dish
• Barrister & Mann shaving soap sample of Cheshire
• Maggard Razors 24mm synthetic shaving brush knot

The brush is much narrower than I'd expected. It's softer than my other horse hair brush and performs pretty well. Early days yet.
The B&M soap has its usual great performance. Scent is very refreshing but I don't think I'd bother ordering a whole tub from the US. There are plenty of UK soaps that are just as good -NSS, OSP etc.
Thought I'd see what the Maggard's empty soap dish is like. Very sturdy and quality build. Perfect size, just a little wider than most artisan soap dishes. Might get some more if I need them.
The knot is to replace a badger knot I have. I've gone off badger knots these days, so thought I'd have a go at re-knotting.

Can't tell you about the AdP cream but I would bet you will love the C&S performance.
