My first shave with OSP

Got a "Barbershop" second hand from a member here - I will agree with all above, it is a VERY good soap! Love it

It looks like there's no more production from @OSP for the DB&S soaps, it's been omitted from the OSP website... that being said, there's still some stock at 'The English Shaving Company's website, though unfortunately no Kyoto! :(

That's a shame before the hiatus last year there were lotslin stock, iIthink 24 of Kyoto so hopefully they are in the back of a cupboard somewhere. Wish I stocked up on it, I must have the touch of death with my favourites, first I Coloniali, then P&B Solaris and now DSB Kyoto :(

Thanks for the kind words gents.

The d'Ardenne, Short & Bell range is coming back soon so make sure you keep an eye out.

Cool, i just tried a sample of d'Ardenne, Short & Bell No 8. Whatever the scent is ( No good at defining scents ) but thought it was great. Do you do the same scent in your standard osp soaps thanks. :)

Hi. Just saw this. Apologies for the delay. Right now, no. But i am considering moving everything to the tallow recipe and coming up with a tallow cream recipe

Do it!

In my experience a good soap is a good soap tallow or no tallow but if I was to make soap and sell I would certainly add a whiff tallow because having it on the ingredients list is good for marketing :) No but in fairness it would be interesting to test soap, tallow vs no tallow, head to head, same scent, unmarked samples...

By the way tested Arko stick with tallow as main ingredient and after reading about tallow I was expecting thick and creamy lather - Yup! no problem and great post shave - Nope! average. Maybe it takes more than adding tallow to mak a great soap :)
