I have joined the forum having switched to DE shaving a week ago. I have to shave everyday for work and my face is really suffering due to daily DE shaving.
I have started with a Jagen David B30 with Astra Platinum blades and Arko soap. I am not sure if the razor is any good to be honest, the blades and soap are well known from my research. So I have a vintage Gillette on the way from eBay. The model and year were not stated in the eBay listing so I am not sure what will turn up. Hopefully something a little kinder to my face.
Beyond that I picked up an Ever Ready USA SE razor 1924 model in a local antiques (junk) shop at the weekend for £15. It will be a while before I put a blade in it though. I also have a special razor on the way from USA that will be here in a week or two (I will give this one a post of it's own). I am hoping this will be the one. Having said that, we all know it will one of many.
