I've got a couple of vintage Gillette TTOs which have lost small areas of the original nickel plating due to being dropped or similar. The areas concerned are approximately 5mm x 2mm. The rest of the plating is in very good condition.
I have two questions:
Rather than unnecessarily replating the whole razor, would brush plating be suitable?
If the answer to the above is 'Yes', does anybody know of anywhere where this could be done economically. I'd rather not spend c£40 on a home kit if possible.
